Hey everyone,

I have a 4-month-old goddaughter, and I want to be a good godfather to her, just like her grandmother has been to me. In my country, it’s common to give children money on special occasions to help them in the future—whether for university, a car, or a down payment on a house.

I’m considering buying her a hardware wallet and, instead of giving her fiat currency, gifting her $BTC (-2,93%). Do you think this is a good idea? Would holding it until she’s 25 be a smart approach, since she wouldn’t need the money until then?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

I think that's a great idea and I would do the same. Buy a hardware wallet and simply save some fiat on a regular basis. By the time she's 25 years old, that will be a nice amount of money. Fiat would only continue to lose purchasing power year after year during this time.

How much long time data you have for Crypto? I dont think Bitcoin will be worth anything in 25 years, like 99.9% of all Coins now.

I would rather buy divers assets with xx% bitcoin mixed in, instead of going full in a hype product. Even a world or FTSE all world etf should be better then going full Hype Mode.

As far as I know everything that someone has buyed as a great oppourtunity which wasnt gold, silver in the past isnt worth as much now. So If you want to risk it for the biscuit, yeah sure. For others I wouldnt do risky stuff.

I wouldn't, give her Money (or Stocks) which can be used to purchase real goods, BTC tends to swing similar to the $EQQQ

Do it! You will be the best godfather. $BTC just know one direction 🚀 and Fiat as well 📉

Wonderful idea. Buy a BitBox, it's considered to be one of the best.
