Power capacities needed!

https://www.n-tv.de/wirtschaft/Tech-Bosse-schleimen-sich-im-Weissen-Haus-bei-Trump-ein-article26012109.html

"Trump opened the dinner by addressing a significant obstacle for tech companies: getting enough electricity to run the massive data centers needed to develop AI. His administration has been working to remove barriers to connecting data centers to the power grid, even though many challenges exist at the state level, Trump said. "I know everybody at this table indirectly, because I read and study about you and know a lot about your business, and actually make it very easy for you as far as power capacity, and get it for you, get your permits."

Too bad, $CIFR not tradable via SC...again.

@investment_wizard_2286 I can only recommend to all those who trade more than just ETFs and blue chips to find a second broker outside the neobroker scene. Even if they are a little more expensive, in my experience the advantages (order types, trading venues, direct trading with issuers) outweigh the disadvantages of the higher costs.

@Multibagger Which one are you currently using? I think you wrote this before, but I can't find the post right now.

Sounds like a bad signal for these companies. 🤔

Part of the moat of these two companies consists of the secured electricity capacities, which the big players now seem to get more easily.

I think this makes colocation deals at $IREN $CIFR $WULF a little less attractive for the big players.

But it is a small risk, what do you think @BamBamInvest?

@Pazzzi In addition, $IREN relies on renewable energies, which Trump rejects.

@Pazzzi But it doesn't say where the public power grids are supposed to get this capacity from. If you connect a huge data center to a public power grid, you first have to increase your capacity with new power plants so that the lights don't go out in other parts. What's more, this is a matter for the federal states and not all of them are as opposed to renewable energies as Trump. And until the public grid has built up sufficient capacity through new coal, gas and nuclear power plants, $IREN is in triple digits.

@Multibagger That's a very good point, thank you 👍

@Pazzzi To make a long story short and without having read the link 😂 I'm not so worried about that and $IREN is not dependent on a colocation deal, apart from that they already have their electricity contracts in their pockets and produce their own electricity. So much energy and capacity will be needed at suitable data centers and you can't conjure them out of a hat overnight. And you can also fill a data center with lots of small ones.

@BamBamInvest You don't have to read the link either, it's real satire ;)

@Redfox77 In the meantime I have even read it and the realization was, I am just as smart as before 😂
