Let's be serious: this would be the worst deal of the century for the Chinese. I very much doubt that it will stay that way. Unless, in return, there was something like a standstill declaration from the USA on Taiwan. Otherwise, from a Chinese perspective, this "deal" is, in my view, absolutely lächerlich🤷🏼♂️. To be honest, I don't see it happening and I can hardly imagine that Xi or the party can be satisfied with it🫣. Unless there are agreements, which of course nobody would ever record anywhere.

•@BamBamInvest Either that or concessions of a far-reaching nature were made elsewhere, unofficially. Then he can let himself be celebrated for the deal (which is actually only positive for the US, as currently presented) and can still stand up later and say: come on we can't do anything about Taiwan, China is a great partner for great America, together we will make the world even greater. Even if it ends to Taiwan's disadvantage in case of doubt🫣.
