Is that something?

During a recent search I came across $ROP (+0,57%) during a recent search. I would be interested to hear what the analysis professionals have to say about it. Perhaps @Tenbagger2024 etc. already dealt with the company

Hi Chris, I have written a prompt for company analysis at Gemini Pro and deposited various formulas, here is the analysis just for you, I hope you like it 😬
Here is the analysis of Roper Technologies (ROP) based on the current price of approx. 362.42 USD (as of February 07, 2026).
Roper is an exciting case for your formulas because it fits right into this "quality over story" debate. The stock has recently corrected after the Q4 numbers, which has made the valuation more interesting for quality investors, but let's look at the hard numbers.
1. the required metrics (status quo)
Here are the basic figures for your quick overview:
Share price: ~$362.42
Market capitalization: ~$39 billion USD
P/E ratio: ~25.5 (based on TTM earnings)
KUV (Price-Sales Ratio): ~4.9 (market capitalization / sales TTM)
P/B (Price-Book Ratio): ~1.95
KCV (Price-Cashflow Ratio): ~15.3 (market capitalization / operating cash flow)
Dividend yield: ~1.00
2. check with your formulas
This is where it gets interesting. I applied your specific rules to the current 2025 annual figures and TTM values.
Formula 1: Core Quality Formula (Quality Growth)
Your target: Qualitative Growth (> 25 = very good)
Sales growth: +12% (FY 2025 vs. FY 2024; organically it was approx. 5-6%)
Operating margin: ~28.3 % (TTM)
Your score: 12 + 28.3 = 40.3
👉 Result: Very good.
Roper passes this test with flying colors. Even if we conservatively take only Q4 growth (10%), you end up with a score of over 38. The company is a margin machine, exactly what you are looking for.
Formula 2: Cash flow quality formula
Your goal: Real cash machine (FCF yield > 5 %)
Operating cash flow (TTM): USD 2.54 billion
CapEx (investments): USD -0.10 bn (Roper is extremely capital-efficient, almost pure software business by now)
Free cash flow (FCF): ~ USD 2.44 bn
FCF yield (FCF / market cap): 2.44 bn / 39 bn = ~6.25 %
👉 Result: Attractive.
You are above your 5% hurdle. For a software company with this moat quality, an FCF yield of over 6% is rarely favorable. This shows that the recent price setback has created a real valuation opportunity. It's not a "bargain zone" (>8%), but definitely in the buy zone for quality.
Formula 3: Dividend filter (income core)
Your target: Yield >= 3.5
Current yield: ~1.0
Payout ratio: ~22 %
History: 33 years of increase (aristocrat)
👉 Result: Failed.
We have to be honest here: This is nothing for your income strategy. The dividend is extremely safe and growing (recent increase of almost 10%), but the entry yield is far too low for your 3.5% rule. This is a pure "dividend growth" stock, not an income stock.
Formula 4: Exclusion rule
Sales growth negative? No (+12%).
Margin < 5%? Nein (28%+).
Dividende nicht gedeckt? Nein (locker gedeckt).
Story > numbers? No, the figures provide.
👉 Result: No reason for exclusion. The company is "clean".
3. future viability & analyst opinion (the human view)
Why has the share just fallen?
The market was disappointed with the outlook for 2026. Management is known to be conservative, forecasting only around 8% revenue growth for 2026 (of which 5-6% organic). This was not enough for some "high growth" fans, especially with the subsidiaries Deltek (government contracts) and DAT (freight) weakening somewhat.
My honest assessment for you:
Roper has transformed itself over the years from an industrial conglomerate to a software holding monster. The business model is brilliant: They buy niche software companies that are monopolies in their small field and trim them for cash flow.
The risk is lower than with pure tech bets because they are so broadly diversified. "Future viability" is high because they are now putting their cash flows massively into AI integration.
Analyst sentiment:
Consensus: "Moderate Buy" to "Hold".
Price targets: Most are between USD 460 and USD 480. As we are currently at ~ USD 362, analysts see around 25-30% upside potential.
Conclusion & next step
According to your rules, Roper is a buy for the "Core Quality" portfolio, but a sell/ignore for the "Dividend Income" portfolio.
It's a classic "compounder" stock: boring, high margins, massive cash flow, but low current payout. If you have room in the growth part of your portfolio, the current price (FCF yield > 6%) is historically a good opportunity.

@Raketentoni great, thank you. I'll take a look then. I don't care about dividends 😉

@Raketentoni Exactly what the last report in the community said.
Thanks for the AI analysis. 👍🏼

@Raketentoni Can you post this prompt including formulas for Gemini? Sounds very exciting.

•

Raketentoni@Raketentoni

8Mês

@Tygaa1896 I'll write an article on this in a few days 😬 it's just based on my strategy, I'm using a dumbbell strategy 🤷

•

Raketentoni@Raketentoni

8Mês

@TradingHase very gladly

•

Raketentoni@Raketentoni

8Mês

@Multibagger well dividends depending on the strategy, for @Dividendenopi it's probably nothing

•

TradingHase@TradingHase

@Raketentoni We've had something like that here before. Everyone can organize such promts as they see fit. More risk, less risk, more dividends, just growth, etc...

I had been watching Roper for a while. Because it is a quality stock. But then I forgot about it again because I keep finding new companies in the screener. But I'll take another look

Have a look at the old reports. It was already reported on 2 weeks ago. I find the model interesting.

@TradingHase is comparable to $CSU if I'm not mistaken

@TradingHase thanks for the tip.😉 Fundamentally, I know the figures. I should have been a bit more precise. I'm interested in analyzing to what extent a short-term rebound is likely. I don't want to invest for the long term!

•

TradingHase@TradingHase

@Multibagger I think this is something long-term and not a sudden rebound. But I'm happy to be proven wrong by our analysis professionals. 😉

TradingHase@TradingHase

@1Chrischi1 Yes, I had seen that 😉

•

Chris@Multibagger

8Mês

@TradingHase Me too

•

TradingHase@TradingHase

8Mês

@Multibagger But I'm not sure from the price trend whether a bottom has been reached. 🤔

•

Chris@Multibagger

8Mês

@TradingHase You're probably looking in vain for that in all software stocks at the moment. And I am still in with an absolute high-risk trade, which was only 1$ away from the KO yesterday when I topped up because I was betting that we would quickly recapture the 100$ mark, at $NOW.

•

TradingHase@TradingHase

8Mês

@Multibagger If that goes well 😉 If the trade works out, you'll have free capital again

•

Chris@Multibagger

8Mês

@TradingHase exactly. And if not, I'll take out a loan! 😂😎 But at a price of €0.03, it was just too tempting. Normally you don't get any more ask prices to buy so close to KO
