True Noord has signed a firm order with Embraer for 20 brand-new E195-E2s. The leasing company, which specializes in regional aircraft, has also secured purchase rights for up to twenty additional new E195-E2s and up to ten E175s. "The list price of the firm order is 1.8 billion US dollars," says the Brazilian manufacturer,

"This landmark contract is True Noord's first direct order from an aircraft manufacturer - a milestone in the company's development," comments CEO Anne-Bart Tieleman. Embraer sees the order as "a strong signal to the market - it reinforces the momentum of next-generation small narrow-body aircraft and the growing demand for sustainable, optimally sized aircraft".

True Noord leases regional aircraft to airlines around the globe. The Amsterdam-based company focuses on aircraft with 50 to 150 seats and manages more than 100 jets and turboprops, which are operated by over 30 airlines in 24 countries. In Europe, its customers include Air France, British Airways, Helvetic Airways and Lot.
