Still, everything's plummeting right now, no matter what the fundamentals look like 🤷🏼♂️

•@TradingHase It's kind of become clear that there's hardly any upward momentum left 🫣

•@Aktienhauptmeister But across such a broad spectrum, spanning so many sectors? If it were just AI stocks, I'd understand, but the losses are running through the entire portfolio. 🙈

@TradingHase For one thing, expectations are now so extremely high that it feels as though even a slight miss is enough to trigger a sharp market reaction.
And in my opinion, one risk is currently still somewhat underestimated. The Asian markets—especially South Korea and Taiwan—are heavily influenced by leveraged products and credit-financed positions. The KOSPI, for example, has already experienced several trading halts this year alone—and again today! When a heavyweight like SK Hynix or Samsung comes under significant pressure, margin calls can quickly trigger a wave of selling. In such phases, investors don’t just sell whatever is falling at the moment—they often sell U.S. and European stocks as well to raise liquidity as quickly as possible. This is precisely what can spark a chain reaction that spreads far beyond the semiconductor sector to the entire market.

•@TradingHase It’s due to profit-taking, automated trading rules for some obscure financial products, traders who rely on technical analysis, and the psychology of market participants.
“Sticking it out in the long run” isn’t most people’s strong suit.

•@Gomerdoc Yeah, that's something you have to learn. Anyone who can do it right from the start has my respect. I had to learn it, too.
