SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer's backlog at the end of the third quarter was a record $31.3 billion, up 38 percent from a year earlier, according to a securities filing.

The company delivered 62 aircraft in the period, an increase of 5% compared to the 59 deliveries in the same quarter of 2024, it said.

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer reports a record order backlog of 31.3 billion dollars for the third quarter - the highest in the company's history. The commercial aircraft division contributed the largest share with 15.2 billion dollars, supported by new major orders for Embraer from Avelo Airlines and the Latam Group for up to 174 E195-E2s. A total of 62 aircraft were delivered in the quarter.

In the business aircraft segment, Embraer delivered its 2000th business jet, while the order backlog there grew to 7.3 billion dollars. In the military sector, the company sold five A-29 Super Tucano to Panama and SNC and a further KC-390 to Portugal. At 4.9 billion dollars, the service and maintenance sector also recorded a record level.
