Realize share losses? Without other gains

Would you sell if you have nothing to offset?

Permanent loser $NOVO B (+2,26%)
$MC (+3,11%)
$NKE (+2,9%)
$ADBE (+3,75%)

I want to get out of shares in the long term, only ETFs with dividends. Because I always sell shares all the time, I have to realize the profit all the time! Of course you don't make good money in the long term that way.

As a result, I don't really want any more shares, but the losses? Just sit it out for years or get out?

It's different with ETFs with dividends, regular cash flow, which I then also hold.

Sometimes it is simply better to sell at a loss, sooner rather than later. See it as a lesson, then you can invest in other companies with better prospects. Personally, I've already burned my fingers with turnaround investments like Paypal 1-2 years ago.
The best way to learn is from mistakes!

@Richpi hm yes. I don't seem to be learning from it, I was there with Paypal too. Also Wirecard 💀💀💀 there the loss pots are back to 0 after a very long time, but now I have losers again 😂

You can buy Berkshire and leave it long enough. It's also a diversified conglomerate with shares in it. You can then offset this against the equity pot. As there are no dividends, this should also go a little faster.

So with a share like $MC, I don't understand why everyone suddenly wants to sell it? If you haven't just bought it at the ATH, then I think you'll get your losses back!

@Therapeut Ok, then I can understand the anger and possible fears! The point is, do you still have confidence in the company and its future development or not? If not, sell, cope with the loss and move on! I know, sometimes easier said than done... 😉
