Current situation at McDonald's

$MCD (+0,03%)

Does anyone have any news on the current situation at McDonald's? The share has now lost 12 percent in one month. I have only seen analyst downgrades or is there more information here.

Best regards

About time, would like to buy

@Julius_Gru I feel the same way
A restaurant chain that sells junk food - not exactly a market for the future.

@jkbsmn92 but it's a real estate share. I don't think it has anything to do with junk food!

@jkbsmn92 The quality of the food - which is debatable - is completely irrelevant. This is about investment. And McDonald's has been a top investment for 60 years.
What you see now as the share price is the result of 8 stock splits since 1975. If they were still displayed, you would have to extend your monitor upwards to be able to see the chart. And not to mention the fact that the share price chart has been running from bottom left to top right since the company was founded, as if drawn with a ruler.
McDonald's will be the last company on the planet to go under when the last person has starved to death 😁

PS: nevertheless, crashes like the one between around 1999 and the beginning of 2002 can also happen with a share like this. It's a question of investment horizon. The people who sold in a panic back then are probably annoyed as hell today.
From my point of view: currently a great buying opportunity.

(Diclaimer: invested in $MCD since 1985 🤣😘🤪🩵😍✅)

@Gomerdoc That's exactly how it is. An absolute no-brainer. Buy, forget and enjoy in a few decades, in combination with Coca Cola a solid anchor for your portfolio,

@jkbsmn92 Junk food? They were already saying that 60 years ago when McDonald's went public. It's important to know what they really do for a living, namely real estate

@Performanceboy This is the case to a certain extent. Although a lot is franchised, around 60% or so of all the properties in which these stores are located are also owned by the Group

Mc Donalds is one of the largest private real estate companies in the world, even if the food is modest, the consumer has been proving them right for 80 years that it is apparently not quite so modest. For me as an investor, the dividend is also quite nice. So that's why I buy according to ✌🏽
@BenMP and by the way: I actually think the food is okay. If you see a McDonald's branch somewhere in the world, in a really bad hole where there's nothing useful to eat apart from salmonella:
You're home 😂. Nutrition and disease-free survival assured, and also: I like to spend money in my own company😉.
Then I brush my teeth with $CL, followed by a sip of $NESN mineral water, and all is right with the world again 🤣

@Gomerdoc and pay nicely with $AXP or $V... 🚀

@Gomerdoc I've just eaten at McDonald's, so that's why I wrote "even if" 😉

Absolutely correct that's right at $MCD you know what you're getting no matter where in the world 🤣✌🏽
Yes, it's not bad to go into what you think a lot of yourself but that's why I'm not in $NESN but everyone has to do it as they see fit. As they always say, many roads lead to Rome ✌🏽

I only read once about a drop in sales due to the pricing policy at MC Donalds

At the moment restraint due to the rather high inflation in the USA, restructuring measures.
I recommend going to a McDonald's somewhere in a location of your choice on a Saturday afternoon: after that it's clear that it's an investment....
In addition, the Euro Stoxx and even the DAX have outperformed the Dow Jones Index this year. The investment of European and global investors increasingly in Europe is now having an effect on all US equities, to varying degrees. The relative weakness of the dollar is currently making these investments even less attractive, especially for euro investors, and large institutional investors are taking this into account: and this is also leading to a compounding effect.

I also have a savings plan: price losses of well under five percent and the dividends almost make up for that...
