Simplifying Your Portfolio: A New Global All-Cap ETF Instead of Duplicate ETFs 🌍📈

Today I tidied up my ETF portfolio a bit.

I had several ETFs with overlapping holdings and wanted to simplify things. So I sold two smaller ETF positions and replaced them with the Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap UCITS ETF (Acc) . 🌍

My reasoning behind this:

✅ Broad global diversification

✅ Large, mid, and small caps

✅ Developed and emerging markets

✅ Dividend reinvestment

✅ Fewer unnecessary overlaps in my portfolio

I started with €300. I deliberately kept the rest as a cash reserve .

My current goal isn’t to keep adding more and more positions, but to make my portfolio simpler and more organized .

I'm generally not a fan of market-cap-weighted ETFs. I feel they lack some selection based on value or quality.
For purely passive investors, this is, of course, a low-cost alternative.

@Olli68 I can see where you're coming from 👍🏻 For me, the ETF is intentionally a broad, passive foundation. I also use my individual stocks to make targeted selections based on quality and growth. So, for me, the two approaches complement each other quite well. 😊📈

I think it's really good—it offers very broad coverage at an affordable price.
If you want to add "1× Global Economy" to your portfolio, I think this is the right tool.

It’s certainly an interesting idea. But I’d wait and see how it performs compared to its index first. Many people just look at the TER—but you end up leaving more on the table with the TD than with a few small percentage points in the TER. So I’ll take a look at it first and then, when the AVD launches in January, see if this fund, the regular Allworld, or the ACWI is a good fit.

It will performance Mechanically, it will track very closely to existing global flagship ETFs like VWCE or MSCI World. Because market-cap-weighted indices are dominated by massive megacaps (Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, large caps dictate around 85–90% of the overall fund's performance and 10% wildcard
