BioNTech would clearly be the stock I would not throw out of my portfolio... Main Street is not for growth

•@Klein-Anleger1 Would you like to explain to me why you think Main Street Capital is dirt? Do you see this as a pure stock or are you aware that it is a BDC?
In my case my purchase is a bit behind, with price + dividends I am quite well into a positive return overall.
From a dividend investor's perspective, I like this stock.

•@BockaufDividenden I have to be honest and admit that the principle of increasing the payout ratio to 100% with little or no growth simply doesn't suit me as an investor. I am interested in growth, but I can understand that if someone needs regular cash flow, they will fall back on these kinds of shares. And the statement that a stock is schmuuutz was meant as a joke and as an allusion to the podcast buy high, sell low of tech stocks...

•@Klein-Anleger1 BDCs are required by law to distribute a very high percentage, but they have tax advantages.
Main Street Capital is also a BDC, not a REIT, but you can get confused ;)
I also understand the growth, of course! It's just a different perspective which role you take on as an investor.
