Hi folks. An interesting thesis from a relatively small YT channel that claims that it will be difficult to beat gold over the next 10-15 years. This is partly in line with my expectation of a "lost decade" in the US markets in the 2030s. This does not necessarily mean a 70% crash in the Nasdaq, but could also be a tough sideways market like in the 70s. Reasons include the time limit of a major bull market (usually 26 years from low to high) and the retirement of large generations (millennials - also Tom Lee's thesis).
To measure this, simply let the assets compete against each other and the result is as follows: GOLD/SPX
NDX/GOLD
BTC/GOLD
In turn, it is also mentioned that there are still investment sectors that look even more bullish than gold and that is the uranium sector, for example. $URA (-3,96%) (I am invested myself).
What about you? Have you also dealt with something like this or with such long-term forecasts? What do you think will outperform over the next 10-15 years?
It's definitely interesting for me, especially because the US dollar is always used as a benchmark. But gold is sometimes the tougher benchmark.
