@GAE I don't think you've ever had Luwak or Alamid coffee. Kopi Luwak and Kape Alamid Coffee are names for a special form of coffee, also known as "cat coffee", which was originally made from half-digested coffee beans in the excrement of spotted musangs (not big cats) living in the wild. The beans are washed, boiled, specially roasted and contain fewer harmful ingredients and acids than regular coffee beans. Some people also pay a lot of money for cow urine and crocodile excrement in creams, intestines and offal in sausages, eat meat from pigs that regularly eat their own excrement when they are hungry, etc. As you have already correctly written; taste is different.

@Barsten thanks for the correction - I wasn't quite sure whether it was a large or a sneaky cat. I imagine that I was allowed to taste the coffee at a coffee fair. I'm not sure about the name. I drink my latte or cappuccino at Starbucks, for example - they're good at that and you can't deny that - of course they're sugar bombs - but so are dounats and they also count as pastries 😉 I stick to my Tschibo coffee from my portafilter machine 😅
