Financial results
Wagner reported: "Combined non-GAAP R&D, R&D and SG&A expenses were $1.28 billion in the third quarter of 2025, compared to $1.08 billion in the third quarter of 2024."
He explained: "Adjusted earnings per share (non-GAAP) in the third quarter of 2025 were $4.80, an increase of 10% compared to $4.38 in the third quarter of 2024."
Vertex ended the third quarter with cash and investments totaling $12 billion after repurchasing more than 2.7 million shares for approximately $1.1 billion.
