Share analysis with AI

I have continued to work with Monsieur Claude and his AI friends. Today, as an example, a comparison / evaluation of $WM (+0,57%) and $RSG (-0,83%)

This was put together with minimal effort. Claude had a largely free choice of key figures, so I didn't set many guidelines. I have included 2 screenshots from Tradingview.

I don't think analyzing stocks has ever been easier or perhaps faster, it's crazy. Claude was the better choice for me than Gemini (dashboards, analysis vs. creativity), I pay for both models.

How do you see the capabilities and, above all, their impact? Have you already used Claude and Co. for your investment activities?

What else could you build (or have built) besides analyses and your own portfolio?

I've already tried that too, with transactions and dividend history you can visualize a lot.

I've also been testing with AI for a few months now and have had Claude code some strategy scripts for TradingView, which I'm currently monitoring. At the same time, I have technical and fundamental analyses created.

In addition to Claude, I'm also testing the TradingView plug-in Remix, which after a few weeks of testing is also producing very good results, I'm testing both swing trades and day trading, the results are fascinating!

That also sounds exciting. Not so relevant for me as my approach is buy and hold

@finanzperpetuum Whatever the approach is, as long as it helps to become more efficient, then that's good.

I can only recommend everyone to get involved with AI and simply try it out. You will be surprised. The costs were also mentioned in the comments. I pay about 22€ per month for Claude, but honestly, even if it was 100€ per month, it would be an advantage for me. After a few weeks of testing, I would almost dare to say that if I simply follow the recommendations when day trading, then I am profitable.

PS: AI - in my case Claude - is also very useful in other areas. Claude is now my fitness coach, does my performance analysis for me and makes my training plans according to my goals. I upload my GPX and TCX data and off I go...

@TomTurboInvest How can you script TV? You've explained this before, but I didn't get it. Have you linked your depot and then stored a script somewhere in TV?
••

@market_whizkid_2675 This is a standard TV function, there is a script behind every indicator. The symbol that looks like a Christmas tree. And you can do whatever you want with it. Build your own indicators or strategies. And you can also link many brokers to TV, trade button - select your broker (if it offers the TV connection) and you can trade directly from TV

@TomTurboInvest I have to dig a little deeper. I know that connections work and that you can create indicators yourself. But not how to set up a trading script. Or that you can crawl.
••
imagem de perfil
@market_whizkid_2675 In principle, you start with a script for an indicator that shows exactly the trading signals according to your strategy. Based on this indicator, you create a script for a strategy. You can then backtest this in the first step and follow it live. If it then works as intended, you can, for example, carry out further tests with TV paper trading and then finally replace paper trading with your broker. Not every broker allows automated trading! But there are workarounds via Pickmytrade, you have to extend alert conditions with appropriate JSON payloads that Pickmytrade understands.
But you can also start manually, then you just have to confirm the trade manually with your broker.

@TomTurboInvest Thank you. I had something prompted. I will try to familiarize myself gradually.

I have been using Claude for programming in Home Assistant and am much happier with it than with ChatGPT. With Claude I was able to solve problems that ChatGPT could not fix even after several attempts.

However, I have not yet tested any AI in the area of finance.

@Metis when it comes to programming, for me rather low code, i.e. I only "program" scripts for TradingView, then nothing comes close to the output quality of Claude. At least with the ones I have tested (Copilot and Gemini - also the subscription version). Even the TradingView plug-in Remix reached its limits with my strategy scripts and was overwhelmed or only produced codes with many errors.

After testing, I now only use the TV plug-in Remix and Claude for stock and trading analyses. Claude has now also made ready to run agents available, which are now on my list for testing.

@TomTurboInvest Claude is so successful for me (in the free version!) that I've fallen into a deep rabbit hole when it comes to hosting games myself and other fun things you can do on a home server... 🥲 And I don't even have the time to look at all this at the same time, even though I'd love to! 😭🤣

@Metis I also worked with the free version in the beginning, but then my Box Strategy code in particular became 1600 lines long and after each iteration I had used up the 5 hour quota of tokens. Especially during the week when you have more time, it's nice to be able to keep at it.
I can understand the "watching at the same time" thing 😂 In the meantime, I already have a few subject areas besides the stock market where I no longer want to do without Claude.
••
imagem de perfil
@TomTurboInvest I still haven't quite figured out how many tokens are used for what.
There were weekends where it was over after a few hours and other weekends where it felt like I could text with Claude from Friday evening to Sunday evening and there was no block. O.o

@Metis yes, it's a bit opaque, the consumption is made up of length and complexity. But the exact calculation? Even if the chat is already quite long, you consume more because everything is always "considered". You have a limit per 5h and per week. i.e. if you plan to start in the late morning, then start your chat in the morning, then you are already at the end of the 5h window when you actually "work", and don't have to wait until the next one starts at 0 again, that was my hack in the free version 😉
Now with the paid version I haven't managed to crack the 5h limit yet, once I got a warning that I had consumed 90%. I've never broken it per week.

@TomTurboInvest Interesting. Does this also refer to the total number of chats? Or just the one chat that you currently have active and in which you are writing?

At the moment, I don't see myself spending +€20 a month to upgrade to Pro, as I don't have enough continuous use for that. Precisely because I usually only have time at the weekend and then not always for my Claude-related projects. My girlfriend and dog also want attention from time to time and so on. XD

@Metis this refers to the chat you are currently running, or to the chats if you are working on them in parallel. I've also heard that some people create a summary for long chats and then start a new chat with this summary, which is supposed to save tokens, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

You can find everything Claude has officially published on usage at this link https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11647753-how-do-usage-and-length-limits-work

I see the 20€ as additional costs for my trading, just like trading costs or the GQ Premium, over the year it doesn't matter.
••
imagem de perfil
@TomTurboInvest If I can successfully save the 20€ for my rented game server with Claude's help, then maybe the 20€ will be invested in Claude Pro. :D

I don't actively trade, I run 100% savings plans. So I might have to find another use case to make paid versions worthwhile.

Thanks for the link!

Quite good for graphics, e.g. Portfolio-performance on the PC is also possible but requires a lot of manual effort.

Personally, I wouldn't spend any money on it. The (40?)€ per month in an etf probably brings more in the long term than any company analysis, but if you have the services anyway, it still sounds quite practical.

Especially with individual stocks, however, you don't have an "edge", because virtually everyone has it available.
••
imagem de perfil
For Claude currently 200$ p.a. and Google 70 p.a. I don't use any streaming platforms for that :-)

And because I don't have "Edge" I shouldn't use it? It simply saves me a lot of time researching and compiling information ... the way I would like it and process it best. That's edgy enough for me
••

@finanzperpetuum that's fine with me if it's worth it for you. I see that there are quite a few in your portfolio, which is probably easier to trade than reading ~60 company reports.
