A small bet away from the mainstream: 3xNatGas

Shares, gold, Bitcoin - all kinds of things are at their ATH right now. Everywhere you read about the enormous energy requirements of the AI hells.

Meanwhile, natural gas is trading at a low, despite record US exports and falling production.

The price of Henry Hub natural gas seems to have just bottomed out. So I'm trying my luck in my trading portfolio with a 3x leverage ETC on natgas before the story hits the mainstream. 😏

@Migu11 If you look at his portfolio, you will see that leveraged ETFs on commodities are his absolute hobbyhorse 😉 And if you want to be successful on the stock market in the long term (and he is), you should be well versed in this very hobbyhorse.

@Multibagger Well, I wouldn't say absolute hobbyhorse. But commodities are rising at the moment. Typical for the late cycle.
Just wait and see. At some point, short ETFs on large indices will become my hobbyhorse. And then bottom fishing. 😅

Solar is another idea that's not on the mainstream screen. 🤫

Originally I only wanted to track here, but you have so many exciting ideas that I almost always find comprehensible and I really like to join in often...

I would never have thought of such values.

My original "strategy" has of course been thrown out the window, but to be honest I'm still trying to figure it out anyway. Of course, I'm currently delighted with the massive price gains.
However, I don't yet know how to hedge myself at least partially and return to the more boring ETFs or hold a larger cash position for a while.

Alternatively, allin to the GTAA wiki and only look in again in 10 years...... :-D :-D

And @Epi your criticism is justified that I often just ride the train without knowing the final destination

@Migu11 Remember: a good idea does not make a good trade. And sometimes a bad idea also leads to a good trade.
For my part, I'm usually one or two cycles too early. It's no good if I'm then stopped out. 🤷

@Epi Since the beginning of 2022, but also at the beginning of 2025, this would be far too strong a downtrend for me, which has not yet been broken clearly enough. From above, there are still many VWAPs, MAs and the regression trend since March 2025 as resistance. But I understand the approach, good luck with that! 🫡

@Simon_n Everything is correct. The risk is high. I find the closed W interesting and don't want to stay in it for long. A quick 30% is enough for me.

@TechNav No. The price slide below the level just now is mainly due to the spread widening at the end of trading. There also seems to be a bit of SL fishing in thin evening trading.
I've fallen for things like this before. This time I'm holding for the night. If the price doesn't pick up tomorrow, I'll get out and wait for the next opportunity. 🤷

Don't come to me with leveraged etfs, I'll take an open-end certificate. And looking at the real chart instead of the 3x, it's not such a bottom, that's why I'm out. But I agree with the macro assessment
