Eutelsat flight justified ?

Hi,

As Eutelsat $ETL (-12,38%) is the only position in my portfolio that is not in the red today, I would be interested in your opinion on possible future prospects based on current news as well as technological developments. With the fundamentals of eutelsat, I don't expect a huge increase.

Chat GPT predicts a share price of 13-14 euros with a holding period of at least 1 year under the given circumstances and the current news situation. That seems to me to be quite exaggerated and the share seems to be more of a speculative position.

What do you think?

I bought 350x at €2.23 and 200x at €5.50.

In addition to the Ukraine/Starlink issue, Eutelsat has also made a deal for network coverage in Africa and the Middle East. And it is the second largest satellite company after Starlink. The figures aren't great, but the geopolitical situation and recently completed projects speak in favor of the company.

All speculative but my positions are performing well at the moment! 👍🏻

@Chandra believe volume of deployable and/or deployed satellites. I'll look up the article. Not according to the key figures, which are not particularly exciting. But demand has only skyrocketed since the Selensky-Trump beef (speculative).

It was classic for me again :-)
Thought to myself yesterday "I'll gamble for once". Opened a small position at €3.71. As soon as I bought, it went down and then I sold again at €3.24 in line with my maxim "let profits run, limit losses". Shortly afterwards it went up again...
I'm just not a gambler!

@DusselDuck Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. I sat out the 18% drawdown tonight and then seriously considered at lunchtime today: what's next :)

I haven't fully researched the share yet, but such a sharp rise is of course always susceptible to a correction. In this case, the fantasy is that it could replace the Starlink devices. But what happens now if America continues to supply things and no replacement is needed? Then the share price will plummet to such an extent that there will be no tomorrow.
And I would never trust anything ChatGPT says.
