If interest rates continue to rise, I don't think the stock is an attractive investment right now. The dividend yield is almost on par with government bonds, and rising financing costs leave little room for price appreciation. I actually held the stock in my portfolio for years, but sold it a few months ago, along with all the other REITs I owned.

•@Tom_Trader I used to have a savings plan for Realty Income, but I’m no longer contributing to it. I only top up the position when the price falls below about €48.50. At that entry price, I get an attractive dividend yield, and I view the position more as a long-term dividend investment anyway. When prices are higher, I currently find other investment alternatives more interesting.

@trade_commander_cmsui That makes perfect sense. Many dividend stocks are no longer worthwhile when interest rates rise. I’m 59, and since I’d like to continue having passive income, I still keep about 20% of my portfolio in dividend stocks. However, despite my age, I’ve been shifting more and more into growth stocks over the past few years, mostly in ETFs. That was my best decision ☺️.
