Nvidia

Do any of you think $NVDA (+0,22%) is a good buy for short/medium term. If not why?

Short/Medium I would not be so sure, long term NVIDIA is a very strong buy imho.

Why not short term? Because of Trump, tariffs and the uncertainty that comes with it. While I would agree that tariffs really do not affect NVIDIA directly, the rational behind this is not reflected by the market at all. Logic is not used when people panic.

@Charmin tariffs might hit. Because they rely on a semiconductor chain with TSMC’s chips coming in from Taiwan. And on ASML from Holland also indirectly who deliver machines to TSMC. So supply and cost price of chips can become a factor.

@Shell They *might* hit, I agree. But so far I do not see the impact. There is a chance the markets priced in too much of an impact.

The last trade war initiated by Trump went on for years, so there is a chance that we see lower trading. Then again: Trump ties his "success" highly to the stock market which has been pretty weak since he took office. I would not be surprised if he changed policies sooner than later to prop up the US stock market(s).
