Apple: Record figures, AI offensive & takeover rumors - Why I'm stocking up now
Apple has published its figures for the June quarter - and they are impressive:
- Revenue: USD 94.04 billion → +10% YoY, strongest growth since December 2021
- iPhone sales: USD 44.58 billion → +13 %, significantly above expectations
- Services: also above estimates
- Gross margin: 46.5 % → analysts' expectations were 45.9 %
Apple Intelligence & AI strategy
Apple has so far 20 AI functions under the name Apple Intelligence released so far. Particularly exciting:
- Personalized Siri: Should arrive in 2026
- More investment in AI: CapEx will be increased, many employees will be reallocated internally to AI projects
- Data protection as USP: Apple invests in "private cloud compute" - including its own data centers
- M&A in the AI sector: Tim Cook is open to acquisitions - "We are not committed to a certain size."
Rumor mill: Speculation is circulating that Apple will acquire AI search service Perplexity AI could be acquired - a move that would fit in perfectly with the strategy.
📈 Why I have increased my Apple position
Strong quarterly figures - Apple shows that its core business continues to grow
AI focus with substance - No empty buzzwords, but real product development
M&A fantasy - A possible takeover of Perplexity would be a game changer
Valuation: Apple is not cheap, but given the innovation pipeline fairly valued
🧾 Conclusion: Apple remains a basic investment
Apple is not just a tech giant - it is a company with a clear vision, strong execution and real AI potential.
The combination of operational strength, strategic realignment and M&A fantasy makes the share particularly exciting for me at the moment.
