What do you think of $MCD (+0,06%) the foray into the beverage/coffee market?

CosMc's is to open in 10 locations next year and is also to be established in various countries.

I personally find it very interesting that they are going for a flashy concept. That's what the old McDobalds branches always had, lots of bright colors, whereas nowadays the branches don't look so bright anymore. Especially when it comes to Instagrammability, which many coffee chains take very seriously, I'm very curious to see what it will look like in the end or whether the clientele will be completely different.

Strong business model! I have McDonald's shares in my portfolio and they are being increased every month.

As often as the ice cream machine breaks down... drinks have strong margins at McD and I think someone was already talking 2 years ago about the fact that McDonalds could/should/will develop more and more in the direction of Starbucks. It was young Mr. Neuscheler, if my mind doesn't deceive me.

@Gerit Incidentally, the company that manufactures/maintains the ice machines is listed on the stock exchange

@Portfoliopferd but $TAYD is really interesting, especially the dividend history

@Portfoliopferd Yes, the dividend history is truly remarkable. NVIDIA, for example, could take a leaf out of its book. 🧐🤣👍🏽

I assume that the stores will only open in the USA for the time being, right?
imagem de perfil
@DividendCop yes, ten locations there for the time being in 2024. However, the CEO has already said that it is not worth running a business model in just one country.

@DividendCop is a pure drive-in business. So it's pretty much tailored to the American consumer.

I recently thought briefly about whether it would make sense to include $SBUX in the portfolio in order to be invested in this area as well. Now I'd rather wait and see how this develops.

@NEWT1 There were similar thoughts about McCafe, which also left Starbucks cold. I think it's also an image thing. Starbucks is hip and fancy and is also often shown as a brand by influencers. McDonalds is not cool in that sense, of course everyone likes to go there, but no one will keep the McDonalds coffee cup in their story like they do with Starbucks. I don't think that will change here either. Yes, it will certainly be a success for McDonalds, but I don't think it will be at the expense of Starbucks.

Interesting. I hadn't noticed. Sure to be a success.

I think it's really good. Spreading the business areas further is a good thing and makes $MCD an even better cash cow.

don't think much of McD but will certainly make big profits again

Super interesting, as finfluencers like to say! 😀

@Michael-official "Big" "business"... This phrase really creates so many unpleasant associations. 🤯
