No offense meant: If you want to invest in individual stocks, then look into them. Then you will find out for yourself whether it is cheap/fair/expensive and whether it is worth buying.

I'm doing the same and topped up this morning. Just wanted to know your opinion 😃

In my opinion, Allianz is currently well worth buying.

The share offers clear dividend quality. The cash flow is strong, the debt seems well controlled to me and the dividend is growing and covered by the free cash flow.

Operations are also solid - sales and earnings are developing positively. In combination with what I consider to be a fair to slightly favorable valuation, this results in an attractive investment for me.

I buy the share monthly via a savings plan. But as @Sansebastian has already written, you should always form your own opinion of a share.

@DividendenPapa I would wait for a setback, as the share has done really well recently.
However, the share is still not overvalued and the setback may not come at all, so a savings plan is also a good choice 😊👍🏼

@Danicx13 I completely agree with you 🙂

I'm glad that I found my entry point some time ago and have been building up the position via a savings plan ever since.

@DividendenPapa I bought at €173 at the time, so 2022 😊 plus the dividends. One of my best shares and also my first share ever. They said "carrier tanker" back then...

You've certainly done everything right with the purchase price.

But it's often precisely these "sluggish tankers" that let me sleep well. They deliver their annual return (not a super exceptional one, but a solid one). The rest is often taken care of by the time you are invested. For me, simply a classic basic investment.

My initial investment is currently at 224 euros. But I also buy here regularly. It is also one of my top 3 stocks.

Allianz did very well last year and is currently at an all-time high. Good and solid dividends, but at the moment I would wait for a setback or look around at insurance companies worldwide where you might get more for your money if you want to buy at the moment. There are certainly insurers with good figures and solid development, but they are not as heavily hyped at the moment as Allianz or Munich Re, for example. I fully understand your question, you are looking for a solid, high-dividend top stock that also has very good growth momentum. And if you look back, Allianz immediately comes to mind. However, none of us can look into the crystal ball to see how it will continue forward....
Good luck 🍀
Ps: Swiss Re has currently been thoroughly beaten up and you could take a look at whether the analysts' opinions and the published targets for 2026 would fit in with your investment strategy. And whether you could see potential here. The timing for the shopping trip might be right. Not a buy recommendation but take a look.....

Savings plan is running, I am always cautious with large one-off investments.
In the long term, a good value with dividends and growth

I have topped up $ALV for 2026, despite the share price rally a fair price for me with strong dividend growth
