LVMH

Significantly increased the previously small position. I'm convinced in the long term, and I particularly like things (see Apple) that I buy regularly myself😅

Starting here with: LV, Rimowa and now also Polene or Ruinart and Fendi

The long-term trend is broken. Don't really understand the entry 😄

@Sansebastian I don't have a big problem with that. I often consider chart analysis to be voodoo, except in trading (where I also count holding a position for several weeks). The plan here is to hold it for a long time.

If it goes down further, there will be more buying 🤷🏼‍♀️

@lawinvest Chart analysis is voodoo 🤣 you should study it extensively, then you wouldn't say such things
••
@Sansebastian you should take a look at $MC in the long term (i.e. > 20 years chat history). Then you'll see that charting is voodoo for long-term investors after all😉.
Only sales, profits, dynamic debt ratios and order volumes etc. count. Companies that are top in this make millionaires. Often not so fast and "hip", but guaranteed.
Warren Buffett has been using $KO for 40 years and is guaranteed not to use chart technology 😉

@Gomerdoc if it is based on turnover, profits, etc., then the investment makes even less sense.
But the idea that chart technology is not for long-term investors is total bullshit. Rarely have I read such nonsense - seriously! LMVH has been forming a large top since 2020/21, which has now been exited to the downside.
Yes, Warren Buffet may not use charting, but he has guaranteed insiders know that others don't.

@Sansebastian and because we have no insider knowledge, we look at bars?
I prefer to look at numbers.
But as I said, to each his own...

@lawinvest And yesterday's figures were so good that you bought right away? Sales down etc. But to each his own ;-)

@Sansebastian you should take a good look at how many institutional investors base their investments on chart analysis. Hint: the number is close to 0 :)

@CMustermann But I couldn't care less. I don't understand how you can reach into a falling knife. I use the chart technique to find the best entry points and not simply to invest. An example that you also understand:
Next to us Wolters Kluwer. The share collapsed in mid-March and lost a good 25% from its ATH. If I get in at the ATH - without a plan - I'm well in the red. Then someone like me comes along who analyzes this, enters anti-cyclically - with a plan - and is already up 10%.
The share has to rise 35% to the ATH for you to be in the black.
That's why I couldn't care less whether "the big players" use chart technology or not.
Just 1-2 weeks ago, so many people were panicking because they were down so much. If I enter anti-cyclically with a plan, I minimize this risk

@Sansebastian You should do this for a living

@douc1t not much longer

I got half out of Palantier because of chart technology... that's why I now have 15k less in my portfolio.... my experience
