Deutsche Beteiligungs AG launches new buyback program

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG $DBAN (+0,1%) has announced a new share buyback program - right after the last one. Over the next twelve months, up to 20 million euros will be invested to acquire up to 800,000 own shares. This amounts to around 4.25 percent of the current share capital. 📈

Why might this be of interest to investors? Share buybacks are often a sign that the company has confidence in its own future. If there are fewer shares in circulation, this could boost the share price. Do you think this program will have a positive impact on the price of $DBAN (+0,1%) positively?

What do you think of share buybacks in general? Is it a smart strategy or rather a sign of a lack of growth opportunities? Let's discuss it!

Oh dear, they had them 10 years ago. Apart from dividends, there was probably nothing there. Good thing I sold them at 30 euros.
