I ❤️ Japan

My love of Japan is no secret (keyword Pokémon cards 😄).

But now I'm thinking about adding a Japan ETF to my portfolio - specifically the ETF with the ISIN
$XDJP (+0,92%)

Do you also have Japan separately in your portfolio or are you more cautious - e.g. because of the high national debt, demographic developments or possible difficult market phases in the future?

Of course, like every country, Japan has its challenges, but I still find its economic performance and many companies impressive.

How do you currently view Japan as an investment or a Japan ETF as an addition?

Then pick out the impressive companies. My opinion 😉

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin I don't really want to take such a risk, as I don't know the country well enough to add a single share to my portfolio

@RenditeRudin then ETF is certainly the right choice.👍🏻

I don't have any Japan in my portfolio, but that's also because some Japanese stocks are not so easy to trade here in Germany, for example...

But I don't have any German companies either - I know that I'm not too diversified, but I accept that for the return 👍

@Klein-Anleger almost all tradable at TR.😅🤔 Except the right small caps.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin Okay, maybe that was just a prejudice that I had heard because I had never really dealt with Japan before.

I have two individual stocks from Japan in my portfolio. The companies have a very solid balance sheet and Japan is certainly a good addition to the portfolio. VG

@Timqu002 What are they? and why not an ETF?

@RenditeRudin I have $4519 & $1911. The first is one of the most profitable pharmaceutical companies and the second is a forestry and construction company. Both globally active and clean balance sheets.
No ETF as I like individual stocks :)

@Timqu002 Why don't you like ETFs? :)
