It's hard to say without knowing your strategy or your current asset allocation.
Selling gold to rebalance? Why not? Selling gold to get a good feeling in an otherwise red portfolio? Probably not.

•@Epi Yes, I have actually been planning to reduce my gold holdings for some time now. At the moment, gold makes up just under 25% of my total assets. Accordingly, this seems to be a good opportunity at the moment

•@Epi I would be interested to hear your arguments as to how you arrived at this forecast. After all, that is a price jump of almost 50%

@Niels411 It's been a while. 😁
It was a cycle analysis. I extrapolated the movements of gold in the 70s and 00s into the future. Target: 4500$ 2026/27. It was a risky move when gold was rattling around at 1300$, but now it's slowly becoming realistic.
My plan is to sell bit by bit into the euphoria. It is slowly building up, but it has not yet reached the masses. As soon as all 3 posts here on GQ focus on gold, there will be more selling. That's one reason why I'm part of the psycho club here. 😅
