Investment decision

$PM (-2,98%) What do you think? I'm thinking about investing in the company. Many people smoke and especially things like snus and vapes are on the rise. If a new idea comes up somewhere, it will simply be bought up. Of course China is still ahead in terms of vape development, but it doesn't have good access to the market. I'm morally completely out of it, I also have Rheinmetall in my portfolio and if people want to smoke, they should do it. Nobody is forcing them to. Nicotine-free products are already on the rise, so they'll still be profiting handsomely in a few years' time. It's just a cash flow machine.

At the time, I also opted for $PM in the savings plan because of its pioneering role in the area of nicotine-free products.
I'll be making a lot of money with it for quite a while.

I am invested in $BATS. Growth should also pick up over the next few years. They are also well positioned in the new tobacco products

Super company, good growth. In my opinion, however, it is currently valued too expensively... $PM is the market leader and the best tobacco company, but competitors are much cheaper in comparison. Nicotine pouches are a great growth driver and cigarettes will always be smoked.

The question you need to ask yourself before buying: is the valuation premium worth buying the best tobacco company?

@Pazzzi But you also have to bear in mind that they have the strongest growth of the tobacco stocks.

@Pazzzi I think we are 20% above fair value. The question is, if I hold the share for 10-15 years, how relevant is the entry price?

@Fabianfeuer You're right to have such staying power. The company is very stable and promising in the long term. In the short term, however, I see great potential in MAG7, which has a good valuation (relatively cheap) with mega growth.

@Pazzzi I'm retiring in 30 years (hopefully) and until then it can grow. I also have Nasdaq in my portfolio. I wouldn't actually weight the stocks individually.

Ensures excellent underperformance.

$PM and $BATS can probably both be bought with a corresponding long-term investment horizon; BATS with higher dividends and withholding tax-free;
however, the valuations of both are already somewhat above fair value
