Any ideas on how I can get rid of my Gazprom shares? $GAZP get rid of them 😂?


I have placed a securities account deletion order and had everything transferred, these are now still worth just under €11 and can only be transferred to a Russian securities account or similar and only then can my securities account be completely deleted 🫠...


I have also applied to have them written off without replacement, but this is also not possible due to the sanctions.


So if anyone has any other ideas or even a Russian custody account, I'd be happy to hand them over for a 10 👍,

Join me here, looking at this idiotic investment makes me sicker every day.

I have learned from it and I am grateful for that, but for health reasons I would like to draw a line under it and have the whole thing written off.

There are a few. You can neither buy nor sell them. Maybe wait until the sanctions against Russia are lifted.

@MrMister that's the problem: due to the sanctions, they are no longer tradable / transferable AUẞER to Russian securities accounts... but I don't have one and now I can't quickly open one in Russia so that I can transfer the securities there just to sell them... because of 11€ 😂

Perhaps a little exaggerated, but you could check with BaFin whether it really isn't possible to have them written off or transferred. It can't really be the case that you are only forced to keep the custody account because of this 😅

@derlieblingsbanker They have offered GDR and ADR conversions of Russian shares, and are still doing so. However, I don't know whether this also applies to Gazprom...

I don't understand the hustle and bustle, drink tea, sit it out, as long as there is no new cold war, they will be tradable again at some point. I probably wouldn't even sell them then, because it's not worth it or they will still pay out their dividends and I don't know how that's regulated, maybe someone knows more about it, but it would be interesting to me whether you receive the unpaid dividends retrospectively because you're entitled to them

@Marco-VI it's not about rushing and "selling quickly" it's also not about the value or the loss... but I can't liquidate my securities account, which still costs me fees 😂 and I don't see the point in paying €3.99 a month for an €11 securities account value? 🤣 THAT'S WHY I want to get them out as quickly as possible, I didn't transfer my custody account assets to TR & SC for nothing 🥲

@Wehyernese Let's hope so! I'm paying fees for the custody account because the Russian shares are still in there but not booked out 😂

@IkarusMK no, that was one of my very first portfolios, TR and co. didn't really exist yet... but it has become too expensive for me in the meantime and I still had the shares in it. I have already transferred everything else...

@IkarusMK well... the securities account, which costs me 3.99€ per month and only has a value of 11€, I can't close because of these shares... I've been paying 3.99€/month for almost 1 year... that's more than the securities account is even worth? 😂

@IkarusMK There are sanctions that prohibit the trading, transfer and co. of these securities. They are therefore virtually frozen and can only be transferred to a Russian custody account...

@IkarusMK I have already terminated the custody account twice or submitted the order to delete the custody account... this is rejected every time because of the sanctions 😂

@Michael-official as already described in the post, I have already checked there many times and also requested a "write-off without replacement". But due to the sanctions it is not possible 😂...
