@Wealth-Accelerator Haha, yeah, volatility can get pretty wild sometimes😅 At the end of July, I was down 7% YTD; six weeks later, I was up 13%.
Fingers crossed that option two doesn't come true😂

I just take a little longer than others. So it would have taken me about 6 to 7 years to reach the first 100k😅 I hope it’ll go faster for the next 100k😃

@Alumdria Everyone just has different savings rates and investment strategies. But as long as the stock markets are on the rise, the 200k should add up faster than the first ones.

@Psychedelic_Sunflower Yeah, you're right—the market situation does affect the whole thing, too. I hadn't even considered that. Next year, there could even be a stock market crash where investors' portfolios suddenly plummet by 30 to 60% or so 😅 But honestly, I’d actually look forward to a real stock market crash like the one during the 2008 financial crisis, because then I could buy shares in quality companies at a bargain price. It’d be like Black Friday on the stock market, so to speak. I’m 32 years old now, and my investment strategy is “buy and hold,” just like Warren Buffett’s (with a few exceptions, like American Airlines and Nio).

@Marcie Yes, definitely! But whether something is fast or slow always depends on your goal. If I want to keep working for at least another 35 years and retire at the standard age, then by my early 30s I’ve probably already gone way past my goal.
If, on the other hand, I want to drastically cut back on my hours in 15 years—or perhaps not have to rely on paid work at all—then I’ll have to keep pushing myself.
But of course, those are luxury concerns.
