Announcement of the Next Company Presentation

Hello, everyone,

Given that I’d like to take a slightly more defensive stance due to the upcoming events,

and since I don’t want to increase my semiconductor holdings for now, I’m still looking for a defensive stock for my core portfolio.

Based on some positive analyst comments, the first stock will be

Eli Lilly $LLY (+3,15%) .

Attached are the quarterly results and links to the analyst comments. (No advertising)

I’ll present the company overview for you in a second post.

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Today, I’m sharing my personal opinion—not Mr. Prompt’s 😬
I think the biggest issue with Eli is concentration: Mounjaro and Zepbound already accounted for about 65% of total revenue in the first half of 2026.

Personally, I think that’s enormous. On top of that, there’s price pressure, competition from Novo Nordisk and possibly Amgen in the future, regulatory risks, and high production capex.

On the other hand, Lilly’s valuation is now less absurd than it was two years ago, but it’s still expensive: most recently around 37× earnings or 27× forward earnings.
For this level of growth, that’s not completely crazy, but it’s certainly no bargain either.

I have it on my watchlist, and it’ll be pitted against Ferrovial and Intuit tonight.

@Raketentoni I'm looking forward to it; the presentation is coming up soon. I hope there will be a comment on it, too.

In the long term, many more great products will hit the market besides the weight-loss peptide. Lilly could have made a nice profit at under 600—unfortunately, they weren't greedy enough 😑

Which "upcoming events" worry you the most?

@Roccola601 I'm not worried. I think the rate hike will be partially priced in. And as for the midterms, we'll just have to wait and see. High oil prices and bond yields are actually more of a concern.

@Tenbagger-Capital I agree with you, and I had already thought that's what it was referring to. Yes, the rate hike is largely priced in (it’ll be interesting to see how the market reacts if—for reasons that are hard to explain—it doesn’t happen)—generally speaking, I have to say that I’d actually like the negative market environment to last a little longer right now, because in some cases it’s really bringing some interesting opportunities again...

@Roccola601 The narrative surrounding AI has also led to another nice correction. These are actually good entry points.

@Tenbagger-Capital especially since, when you look at it objectively, it’s really just a narrative at first—one that isn’t reflected in the financial statements—and those are actually always the best opportunities. Nevertheless, I certainly understand many of the concerns and, as I’ve done elsewhere, will work on expanding “counterbalances” to AI in the portfolio 🙏🏼

@Roccola601 Perhaps we'll also expand into energy. That will remain an issue. The same goes for robotics.
