The energy conundrum of AI

Hello my dears,

in reference to the just published and exciting post by @Derspekulant1 .

I would like to introduce you to a very exciting company that I immediately associated with his post.

He writes that you have to pay attention to the socket with AI. 🔌

He has hit the nail on the head. With data centers, it's not enough to plug the cable into the socket and off you go, just like with our computer at home.

Because modern AI data centers are no longer satisfied with the dirty electricity we use. Just like in semiconductor production, the water doesn't just have to be clean, it has to be more than clean.

(reminds me a little of Clementine, older people will remember the commercial. But another topic)

The electricity for modern data centers must also be pure and clean.

And here comes Advanced Energy Industries $AEIS (+0,87%) comes into play.

My dears, I personally find the company very exciting. Firstly because of its growing business model.

But also the Fundamental key figures:

  • falling P/E ratio , PEG below 1

  • EBIT margin in double digits and rising

  • Free cash flow increasing

  • Debt not present

  • increasing turnover

  • Net income increases better in relation to sales, and growth is in the good double-digit range

What do you think of the company and the great multiples?

In terms of the chart, I would still wait for a correction.

Precision energy supplier earns twice as much from the AI boom. Data Center - sales can double and should grow by a further 30%

About Advanced Energy

Advanced Energy (Nasdaq: AEIS) is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced, precision energy conversion, measurement and control solutions for mission-critical applications and processes. AE's power solutions enable customer innovation in complex applications for a variety of industries, including semiconductor equipment, industrial, manufacturing, telecommunications, data center computing and healthcare. With technical expertise and responsive service and support worldwide, the company builds collaborative partnerships to meet technology advancements, drive customer growth and innovate the future of energy. Advanced Energy has dedicated four decades to perfecting energy for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Advanced Energy Industries (AEIS) provides high-precision energy systems and measurement technology and generates more than half of its revenue in the semiconductor industry. It also supports critical applications and processes in the industrial, medical, data center and telecommunications sectors. Advanced Energy generates over 70% of its turnover with products that have been specially developed for individual customers and can only be supplied by them. CEO Steve Kelley recently emphasized: "Customers are adopting our industry-leading technologies in their next-generation platforms, which we believe will lead to sales growth and significant market share gains." The serviceable market potential is expected to increase from USD 10.5 billion to USD 15.5 billion by 2030.

As the undisputed market leader in plasma power supply products for etch and deposition processes for next-generation logic and memory chips, new products can drive market share gains. Deliveries for qualification phases increased from 250 to 350 quarter-on-quarter. Significant growth contributions are expected in 2026 with planned production launches.

Several new hyperscaler programs will enter the production phase this year. The company is consolidating its factories and brand presence on a new digital platform to improve margins. This should enable not only a doubling of revenue to USD 3 billion by 2030, but also a more than quadrupling of earnings to USD 15 per share.

Advanced Energy turns "dirty" grid electricity into stable, meterable energy - necessary for nanometer chips and AI servers. The semiconductor oligopoly generates predictable revenues, while data center power supplies grew by 107% in 2025. Advanced Energy solves a basic physical problem in the high-tech industry: electricity as it comes out of the socket or power station is too "dirty" and imprecise for modern high-tech. The company builds hardware that converts raw electrical energy into extremely stable, precisely metered voltages.

The company offers repair services and customer support through its global support organization. Support services include warranty and non-warranty repairs, calibration, upgrades and overhauls of the company's products.

Number of employees: 13,000

After hitting a low of less than USD 80 last year, Advanced Energy Industries (AEIS) shares are likely to exceed the USD 300 mark on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) following the presentation of quarterly figures. What is behind this rally? AI chips are becoming ever more powerful and hungry. In order to efficiently distribute this energy in the smallest possible space (rack) and manage heat, the transition to higher voltages (48V -> 800V) is physically imperative. At the same time, chip production requires ever more precise energy surges (plasma).

Finally top content again from one of our top creators.🫶🏻

Exciting company, but I also see a lot priced in at the moment and of course a certain dependency. Nevertheless, a business with a future in my opinion, so certainly worth an investment.

I think it's cool and am putting it on my extended watchlist, as it doesn't currently cover my primary investment approach.👌🏻

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin Thank you my dear, the next market correction is sure to come. Perhaps as early as Monday. And then it certainly wouldn't be a bad buy

@Tenbagger2024 That's about as sure as the Amen in the church, that's right.

However, the "when" is always a question of course.🤷🏼‍♂️

If it fits the strategy, it's certainly not a bad buy, I agree.👍🏻

@Tenbagger2024 Everything is great with me, thank you. I hope yours is too?

In which area exactly do you mean? AI Hype? 😅 I currently only play actively via $AVGO. 😉
••

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin said in the $AEIS area
••
imagem de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 Sorry, I completely misread. You asked if I was interested.🫣

Basically interested in a lot of things, so I wouldn't say no across the board.😉 As you know, it always depends on the overall profile. One more thing: since @Raketentoni is on today, will there be something from you tomorrow? Retail with double-digit margins?🤩 Or something else first?
•

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin still have a competitor from $AEIS but with higher margins. What do you prefer for tomorrow?
•

@Tenbagger2024 mhhh, after all the ups and downs of the last few days, maybe something relaxed like retail wouldn't be wrong.😅😁

Then the competitor afterwards.

@Simpson That would be nice. But I think after a correction there should still be something here
••

Nice and exciting share, many thanks for that👍 . As you have already written, a setback would be appropriate for an entry, it has already done really well and in the near future some uncertainties will certainly be (have to be) priced in in this area. Unfortunately, it's not a candidate for me at all, I'm keeping a very low profile in the US sector at the moment and it doesn't pay the dividends I need. I'll put it in the WL for the 2031 portfolio. Perhaps there will be an opportunity there at a later date.

@Nemesis1990 Thank you dear. What is your impression of the company?
••
imagem de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 Super company no question, the hype is already priced in. I think they are too expensive at the moment . They are also attached to companies like Applied Materials , if they reduce their investment , the price will go down quite a bit . And you know the EK is too expensive for me, 100 shares and all 🤣😅🫶

Wow, it looks very good - but it's already gone very well. The multiples and outlook make me want more.
I'm always torn with such combinations (fundamentally strong, good momentum): Just get in, because nobody can say if and when the next setback will come, or wait for it and then get in. Most of the time I've done better by simply getting in. Often there was a 20% dip when the share had already taken me down 30 or 40% 💪

@Investingyoung so thanks for the dessert!

the stock sounds super exciting but with the chart... i'm also waiting for a juicy correction. there are currently more exciting anticyclical opportunities.

but it will be pushed onto the WL, I now have a category on TV called "Gq Gems" with all the good stocks I know because of Gq and you dominate it. thanks for your work!

What is described here is the basis for the DC structure. It hardly matters what workload the DC has at this point: It is sized according to what electrical power you are able to cool and you work your way back from there.

Data centers protect themselves against unstable grids by having their energy requirements smoothed out by battery systems - which is necessary for continuous operation in the event of an emergency anyway - and in an absolute emergency, what the diesels are capable of providing.

As both systems have to be maintained and serviced, this results in the necessary alarm plans for data center operation, which are carried out and checked regularly. In this respect, I would not focus on the data centers: If necessary, these will run self-sufficiently for as long as there is fuel. The general power supply is a suitable topic for this.

@Klein-Anleger Hello dear, yesterday I somehow read that you wanted to change platforms. I also came back because of you, because you are close to my heart. And I wanted to keep watching your success. That's why I hope you'll stay here. I also need your important opinions on my business ideas.

My dear. That electrifies
••

How do you assess the risks with regard to energy-saving data centers? I think the electricity problem is more short-term.
••
imagem de perfil
@PikaPika0105 I could imagine that the company even contributes to efficiency. Because it also contributes to saving electricity.
••

@Tenbagger2024 Photonics could pose enormous challenges for most energy suppliers.

@PikaPika0105 I saw that you went into NEC. My hands are kind of itching too
•

•
imagem de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 At the moment, everything speaks for them. Have you seen my mini update on Fujifilm? I personally find them even more interesting.
••
imagem de perfil
@PikaPika0105 $SXS I also found them very interesting in this area, but they are probably going to KKR. Yes, you've already written something about fujifilm. What were your motives with NEC?
••
imagem de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 At NEC, the leading role in surveillance and reconnaissance was the main reason. They will benefit greatly from the rearmament in Japan and the establishment of the new secret service. Their capabilities in facial recognition and radar systems as well as space services are very important for this. The stock you have highlighted is not shown at all. Why do you think they are active in the same area as Fujifilm?
•
1
•
imagem de perfil
@PikaPika0105 I somehow read once. There is also a US company in this field. But I can't think of the name right now. I also find NEC attractive in terms of valuation. Have you actually found the exact reasons for the share price crash? There has been a takeover.
••
imagem de perfil
@Tenbagger2024 It is actually largely seen as a consolidation. The share price has risen almost continuously until November 2025, with around 500% since 2022. We are therefore seeing a small correction, which is a good entry point again. Good for us.

I just don't understand why $AEIS has dropped off so much compared to the industry leader in renewable energies: $NEE, especially from the end of 2025. Before that, the curve was similar to that of other energy suppliers. The only difference is that $NEE is many times larger and has already proven in the long term that it has what it takes: They could simply iron away the small competitor. None of this seems "organic", it may be visually cool, but somehow fundamentally inexplicable. To me - without having really analyzed it or tried to - it looks like some kind of short-term effect, hype, bubble, FOMO or some other stock market psycho action? Can this be explained?
