My dears, I remain invested.

Embraer has received a firm order for 24 E195-E2 jets from Latam Airlines. Embraer thus prevailed over Airbus. The Europeans had offered the Airbus A220. Latam has big plans for the new aircraft.

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has received a firm order for 24 E195-E2 jets from Latam Airlines. The Chilean airline has also secured options for a further 50 aircraft, as both companies announced on Monday.

Delivery of the aircraft on firm order is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026. The firm order is worth around 2.1 billion dollars (1.9 billion euros) at list prices.

Latam Airlines intends to expand its route network in South America with the new Embraer jets. The company will be able to add up to 35 new destinations to its existing 160 destinations, it said. Embraer won the tender against the Airbus A220.

The order strengthens Embraer's position in the South American market, where the manufacturer already has an established presence. Latam CEO Roberto Alvo justified the decision with the cost-effectiveness and versatility of the E195-E2. The Brazilian government supports airlines in purchasing aircraft via an aviation fund with credit lines, as reported by Reuters.

The first aircraft will initially go to the Brazilian subsidiary Latam Brasil. Later, the E195-E2s could also be used by other Group companies, the company announced.

Embraer has a special arrangement and only has 10% US duty. I see that as positive. Embraer is increasingly competing with Boeing and Airbus.
I still like the multiples.
