BTC lottery ...

... and I've been there since mid-August 2025.

I informed myself in advance about the $BTC (+0,21%) -lottery in advance... the chance of $BTC (+0,21%) of successfully mining is very close to 0... but the fun of it was worth it to me...

also makes quite an impression on visitors. Bitcoin is not just hot air... also a lot of energy and computing power.

The NERDQAXE++ operates at around 4.8TH/s and 60W (actual consumption is higher)

Setting it up was not quite so easy for me - contrary to some reports and tutorials.

I had to set up a guest access with a different frequency band (2.4 GHz) in my own home WLAN. Then it worked.

Will the mining be successful? I will report back!

Good luck! 4.8 TH/s is already strong. I've also considered getting the NerdQAxe++, but it needs too much power for the small chance.
My little Bitaxe Gamma is cheaper - but also has fewer chances :D

@stefan_21 Do you or anyone in the bubble here know of any viable alternatives that consume less power and have more performance?

@Aktien-Investor Nope - there are cheaper, more powerful devices that need a lot more power and there are some that need less power but have significantly less performance. The Bitaxe/Nerdaxe or NerdQAxe with 15-18 W/TH are currently pretty much the most efficient on the market :)

@stefan_21 I also prefer to run my Gamma with 2 TH xD

@Heart How many watts does it run on?
imagem de perfil
@Aktien-Investor Mine runs at 1.7 TH/s with ~28 watts. In normal operation at 1.3 TH/s, you would only need around 18 watts. The higher you overclock, the more inefficient the miner becomes :)
At 2 TH/s, the one from @Heart certainly runs at >30 watts

@Aktien-Investor @stefan_21 always fluctuates slightly, depending on how warm it is and how hard the fans are running accordingly, but currently pretty much exactly 30 watts

I had ChatGpt do the math: electricity costs per year around €200, chance of finding a valid block with your current hashrate around 1:180-200 million.
I'd rather play the lottery 2-3 times a week with a 1:140 million chance, roughly the same costs but a much higher profit (at least as long as a Bitcoin isn't worth at least €1.33 million) 😄
Of course I would then buy a few BTC from the winnings, I don't want to have everything in soft currency.

@Psychedelic_Sunflower I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol, I don't have a pet... The money has to go on something :D ...

I know the electricity costs are very high... and it would certainly be smarter to invest the money directly in BTC or play the lottery. You're right :)

@Aktien-Investor In summer, I use the waste heat from two Antminers to heat the pool - this way I turn electricity, which would otherwise be remunerated at €0.08/kWh, into directly usable heat. At the same time, I stopped smoking and drank more alcohol... ;-)

@Psychedelic_Sunflower but in Lotto Mining you play for the jackpot every 10 minutes and not twice a week like in the normal lottery :D
At 4.8 TH/s per day, you have about a 1 in 1.4-1.5 million chance, which is significantly better than the lottery :)

Also my favorite solo miner at the moment 🧡

0.04% chance per year
0.42% chance in 10 years and downwards
but i think it's cool and will probably join at some point. good luck!

How is the volume?

@TeeRiese as with a normal PC fan... but it also depends on the ambient temperature. The cooler it is, the less the miner needs to be cooled
