Fresh in the portfolio: TDIV from SPDR sale & dividend power!

Today we regrouped:

The SPDR Global Dividend ETF I sold - the performance simply didn't convince me. Instead, the VanEck Developed Markets Dividend Leaders (TDIV) has landed in my portfolio!

I bought 135 shares at € 43.50 each.

Financed by:

  • the proceeds from the SPDR sale
  • the Allianz dividend
  • and a fresh $27.41 Realty Income dividend

I am now focusing more on quality & dividend momentum - TDIV fits better into the overall picture for me.

What do you think of this move?

I have weekly savings contracts on $TDIV. I am curious to see how the ETF develops

Very strong. I also have it in my portfolio.🚀 But the dividend growth of the ETF is rather weak and relies more on dividends immediately, doesn't it?

@Max095 Yes and no. He invests in stocks with high dividend yields but pays out less dividends than he receives in order to avoid negative dividend growth, roughly explained 😉 So you won't get 25% dividend growth here, but you won't get 15% negative growth either. It is also relative to the share price growth, it is just not as volatile downwards as upwards as a sp or something else.

@Hotte1909 Thanks for the explanation Patrick! 😊

@Max095 As you can see from the chart, the share price has remained relatively stable this year in contrast to the market as a whole.

@Hotte1909 Yes, that's right. I will definitely continue to hold the ETF as a core together with $FGEQ and $CSNDX! I like the mix of growth and dividends 😀
