Hi, so what should I do?!
I’m going to take the shares; here are the options you have.
The subscription price for the new shares has been set by the Board of Directors at 0.2733 NOK per new share.
That’s the price you’ll have to pay per share if you exercise your rights.
Key Dates:
Start of the subscription period: Expected on or around July 27, 2026
Tradability of the rights:
You will likely only be able to trade the subscription rights on the stock exchange until August 4, 2026
End of the subscription period:
No later than or around August 10, 2026
Your options:
You now have three options for how to proceed.
Exercise rights (subscribe):
You use your subscription rights to purchase the new shares at the discounted price of 0.2733 NOK.
To do so, you must approve the capital increase and have sufficient funds in your clearing account by the record date (mid-August; payment date is approximately August 14).
Sell your rights:
If you do not want to increase your position in Desert Control or inject additional funds, you can sell the subscription rights on the stock exchange as you would regular shares until August 4, 2026.
This way, you’ll at least receive cash compensation for the loss in value (dilution) of your existing shares.
Do nothing (let them expire):
This is the worst option.
The rights will expire worthless at the end of the period, and your stake in the company will be diluted without any compensation.

•@Raketentoni Silly question: I also own some Desert Control shares. I haven’t received any official information about the capital measure, but on TR I’m at least seeing a DC variant (Desert Control -ANR-) that isn’t currently (yet?) tradable. Are these the new shares, and will they automatically become available to me once the subscription period begins?

Hey Jakob,
That’s not a silly question at all—it’s simply due to the different systems used by the brokers. At Trade Republic (TR), the process works a little differently than at Tradegate or Saxo brokers.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of what the ticker “Desert Control -ANR-” means and what you need to do:
What does “Desert Control -ANR-” mean?
ANR stands for “Anrechte” (meaning subscription rights).
This is essentially the placeholder on Trade Republic where his subscription rights have been credited to his account.
Why aren’t they tradable (yet)?
Trade Republic usually doesn’t offer direct trading of subscription rights for foreign offerings (Desert Control is listed on Euronext Oslo). Although the subscription rights are held in his portfolio, they can’t simply be sold on the exchange with the click of a button.
Will the shares become available automatically when the subscription period begins?
No, not automatically. The new shares won’t just be added to his portfolio—he must actively exercise (subscribe to) the subscription rights and pay for them.
Here’s how the process works step by step on Trade Republic:
Notification via Mailbox (app):
Trade Republic often sends notifications about capital actions for foreign small-cap stocks very shortly before or right at the start of the subscription period. You should definitely check the app daily under Profile > Documents / Mailbox.
Submit an instruction:
In this letter or app notification, you’ll be asked whether you want to exercise your subscription rights.
If you want to subscribe, you must submit an instruction (via form or by clicking in the app).
The subscription price is 0.2733 NOK per new share.
Provide a settlement account:
You must ensure that you have sufficient funds in your TR settlement account so that the cost of the new shares (plus any third-party fees) can be debited.
Booking:
Only after the deadline has passed and the capital transaction has been settled (usually in mid- to late August) will the -ANR- shares be converted into actual, regular Desert Control shares.
What exactly do you need to do now?
Be patient until mid- to late July: The subscription period is expected to begin on or around July 27, 2026. By then, Trade Republic will typically send a notification to your app inbox.
No automatic purchase:
If you do nothing, the subscription rights will expire and become worthless after the deadline! Since TR usually does not offer trading in Norwegian subscription rights, your primary options on TR are to exercise them (submit an order + pay) or let them expire.

•I haven't seen anything in my Traders Place inbox yet either; so far, I only see the empty slot for the subscription rights. But I'll probably use them as soon as I get the chance. @Raketentoni, thanks for the explanation—that helps a lot.

•@Phil I'd be happy to.
