Pfizer Report

$PFE (+0,23%)

Technical Conclusion: The stock is trading above the long-term 200-day SMA—a positive structural signal. However, relative momentum (RSL) compared to the broader market remains weak. A sustained breakout above $28–29 would clearly improve the chart picture.

attachment

Opportunities: High dividend yield, attractive forward P/E ratio, oncology pipeline (Seagen), cost savings, potential obesity assets.

Risks: Patent expirations (LOE), high GAAP payout ratio, ongoing COVID-related revenue declines, pipeline execution risks, relative weakness vs. the market.

Analyst Recommendation: Hold to selective buy for income-oriented investors with a medium-term horizon.

Dividend Yield

approx. 6.4–6.8% (at a price of ~$26–27)

So far, it’s been a great stock for my strategy. Last year, I steadily bought it in tranches at 21 euros. It’s been moving sideways without much fanfare and pays dividends reliably. A low-key stock. It’s more for old folks—young people should probably stay away 🤭😉

@Dividendenopi I'm not young. I bought them for around 20–22 euros, too.
Unfortunately, they don't fit.

@Smudeo But that's not why you should buy them either. Capital preservation with a healthy cash flow

@Simpson I guess you mean 20 years… they were already trading at today's levels back in 2006 😂

I'm going to hold onto Pfizer until they're back on everyone's lips—especially the conspiracy theorists...🤪

$PFE: I own those too. I think this is a stock that requires a lot of patience.

Sure, the old patents are expiring and they have a huge pipeline… eventually they’ll replace the old profit drivers… but I don’t think the turnaround will happen before 2028.

The financial situation is extremely tight, as they’re generating just enough profit and free cash flow to barely cover the dividend (by the skin of their teeth).

On the positive side, they’re obviously managing to cut costs and are consistently delivering positive surprises as a result.

I hold the stock for the dividend and, above all, because I’m glad to have a stock outside the financial/REIT sector that fits my strategy.
