Springfield – Surprise on Wall Street: Star investor and manager of the Ultimate Homer Hardcore Holding has sold his stake in the U.S. technology company Synopsys by exactly 33.33% .
“I’ve carefully reviewed the figures,”, Simpson explained on Sunday at Mo’s Tavern. “After all, 33.33% more shares means 33.33% more shares.”
Stock Market Professionals Impressed
Financial experts reacted differently to the news.
“A 33.33% increase is certainly remarkable from a mathematical standpoint,” said one analyst. “However, we don’t yet know whether Mr. Simpson is actually following an investment strategy or simply clicked the ‘Buy’ button.”
Nevertheless, the news caused a stir on the stock market. Several institutional investors are said to have already reviewed their own positions.
“If Homer Simpson is buying, we at least need to find out why,” explained a fund manager. “We’ve assigned a team of seven analysts to the task.”
Simpson:
“I believe in artificial intelligence”
When asked why he considers Synopsys, of all companies, to be a promising investment, Simpson pointed to the future of technology.
“Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important,” Simpson said. “And if machines eventually become smarter than humans, I’ll be glad to have invested today in something related to it.”
Marge Remains Skeptical
His wife, Marge Simpson, is said to have reacted to the transaction with mixed feelings.
“Homer told me he’d diversified his portfolio,” she explained. “Then I found out he’d bought 33.33 percent more of the same stock.”
When asked whether he might have misunderstood the term “diversification,” Simpson declined to comment.
“Of course it’s diversified,” he said. “I have more shares now than I did before.”
Wall Street Awaits the Next Move
Simpson left open whether he intends to further expand his stake in Synopsys. Market observers, however, consider another increase to be possible.
“If the stock goes up, Homer will say he’s an investment genius,” said a stock market expert. “If it goes down, he’ll probably claim the market has been rigged.”
Both scenarios could lead to further purchases in the short term.
“In the worst-case scenario, he’ll buy even more.”
Wall Street is now eagerly awaiting Simpson’s next move. Observers do not rule out the possibility that the investor could further professionalize his strategy in the future.
