Ps: Does anyone have the dates of the quarterly figures for $SHEL (-0,2%) ? Unfortunately I can't find them online.

After making my first small investments of a few hundred euros in the stock market in February '25, I added a larger amount in the course of April. It also took some time to develop an investment strategy; where do I want to invest? What risk do I want to take? Accumulating or distributing? ETFs and/or individual shares? If so, which ones and why? Are there specific countries and/or sectors I would like to focus on?

Only at the end of last week were all the answers to these questions clear: a long-term investment horizon of just over 35 years with relatively low risk. A healthy ETF/share mix of 60/40. Distributing portfolio with high-yield and high-growth positions and with a relative focus on the USA and Europe.

I have a good feeling that I am happy with my strategy in the long term and finally no longer have to constantly turn the entire portfolio inside out.

In the first quarter of 2025, PALFINGER AG recorded revenue of EUR 552.5 million, an operating result (EBIT) of EUR 40.1 million and consolidated net income of EUR 22.0 million. As forecast, declines in revenue and earnings were recorded. At the same time, PALFINGER is optimistic about the full year 2025 and is aiming for the second-best financial year in the Company's history. The company's financial stability was further strengthened by the reduction in net financial debt and the significant increase in equity.

Outlook

Thanks to the recovery of incoming orders in the European core markets, PALFINGER expects a very good development of earnings as of the second half of the year. On this basis, PALFINGER is aiming for a year-on-year increase in revenue and EBIT in 2025 and thus the second-best financial year in the Company's history.

For 2027, PALFINGER has set itself the target of generating revenue of EUR 2.7 billion, an EBIT margin of 10 per cent and a return on capital employed of over 12 per cent.

Palfinger Marine has received an order from CRIST SA in Poland to supply a comprehensive equipment package for a next-generation offshore supply vessel (OSV) currently under construction for the DOF Group.

As part of the comprehensive equipment package, Palfinger Marine will supply an all-electric, frequency-controlled winch system. The advanced solution enables safe and efficient anchoring, mooring, deck handling, towing and ice management in extreme offshore conditions.

The contract also includes a stern roller and the PALFINGER HSS (Hose Securing System), which was specially developed for the secure attachment of hoses during fluid transfer between ships and offshore drilling rigs.

Palfinger Marine will also provide the complete rescue equipment on board, consisting of fully enclosed lifeboats and associated hydraulic swivel davits and life raft davits.

Each component is designed to meet the industry's highest safety standards in accordance with the latest SOLAS/LSA regulations and is certified by Transport Canada.

The vessel, tentatively named SEADRAGON, will operate off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The vessel, currently under construction at CRIST SA in Poland, will be the next generation OSV and will be based on the MMC 995L SBC design by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting.

StoGda Ship Design & Engineering is responsible for work documentation and construction supervision during the ship's construction at the shipyard.

The 110-meter DP3 ice class vessel can accommodate up to 164 people. It has two 1 MWh batteries and several generators for power supply, positioning and propulsion. These power two main propulsion units, a retractable propulsion unit and two tunnel thrusters. The ship can also run on biofuel or a biofuel mixture.

The vessel is configured for a wide range of services, including personnel cut and fill, drilling support, field safety standby, emergency towing and ice management.

For the first time, the Austrian body manufacturer Palfinger is making a new type of tiltable crane fork available for the European market. It can be mounted on all Palfinger TEC loader cranes and integrated into the overload functions of the crane system. This allows precise material transport even in areas that are difficult to access.

The crane fork as an additional device on the loading crane enables the quick and easy transport of palletized and non-palletized goods directly to their destination - for example to the upper floors of a building. Transporting loads even through small façade openings or through doors and windows at great heights reduces effort and saves time, as a lot of dismantling work on railings or cladding is no longer necessary. In addition, with this tiltable crane fork, construction workers no longer need to manually pull the delivered building material from the crane into the building in a risky manner. Temporary platforms or balconies with a critical load-bearing capacity can also be dispensed with as storage locations. At bauma 2025 in Munich, visitors can experience the new tiltable crane fork live in action at the Palfinger stand or test it for themselves.

Simple load securing, quick assembly

According to the manufacturer, the new crane fork is characterized by a significantly lower overall height compared to other models available on the market. In particular, the precise hydraulic control of the tilting angle and the integrated strap for simple, size-independent load securing allow the load to be quickly and easily secured on the fork. The tiltable crane fork is attached to the respective fly jib of the TEC loading crane using a multifunction adapter and connected hydraulically. The crane fork is compatible with all currently available TEC loader crane models that are equipped with the Paltronic 180. The tiltable device is offered by Palfinger in combination with the upper sections of the standard PZP-H and PZP-V pallet forks.

Steyr Motors AG $4X0 (-2,65%)an investment company from the Mutares portfolio $MUX (-0,35%) and listed on the stock exchange since the end of October, can score points today with an "exclusive supply agreement".

Even if the share price has tended to move sideways since the listing, such news may well form the basis for future price surprises.

PALFINGER $PAL (+0,45%) has secured the supply of engines from the Steyr portfolio as part of a two-year supply agreement. For Steyr Motors, this is proof of its "leading position" in the field of maritime propulsion solutions. What is the Steyer Palfinger contract about?

PALFINGER's marine business includes cranes, winches, lifting and handling solutions, slipway systems, boats, davits and fenders, providing solutions for all major maritime segments, including offshore, oil and gas, trade and transport, cruise and passenger vessels, governmental organizations, wind and aquaculture. PALFINGER also has its own service centers worldwide. An important aspect of the partnership is the close cooperation between the two companies, particularly in the area of the service network.

Steyer Motors can do more than just "defensive"

The contract covers the supply of engines that will be used in various applications in PALFINGER's maritime product range, such as fast rescue boats and free-fall lifeboats. Steyr Motors stands for the development and production of special high-performance engines with high power density and durability. And this is of course a particularly good fit for the currently booming main target market: the company's engines are mainly used in special defense vehicles, boats (both defense and civilian) and as auxiliary power units ("APU") for battle tanks and locomotives. And sales of EUR 41 to 45 million and adjusted EBIT of between EUR 9 and 11 million are expected for 2024 as a whole.

This would put Steyr well on the way to laying a strong foundation for the 2025 targets. This is because Steyr Motors is aiming for year-on-year sales growth of over 40% in 2025. In addition, an adjusted EBIT margin of over 20% and a production volume of more than 1,250 units. As already mentioned, Steyr operates in a booming market and meets the high quality and durability requirements of defense customers.

Despite ongoing geopolitical turmoil, rising interest rates and inflation, the global technology and mechanical engineering company generated record revenue of EUR 2.45 billion, its highest ever operating result of EUR 210.2 million and record consolidated net income of EUR 107.7 million.
