Dear Community,

We've just released a new version (2.118) with a feature we've been looking forward to for a long time: getquin Rewards. We created getquin Rewards to reward you when you share valuable content or bring new people to the platform - all of which helps to make the platform even more attractive for everyone in the long run.

How does it work?

Earn points: Complete simple tasks to earn points, such as inviting friends or writing posts. You can also receive points from other users for your best contributions (donations).

Exchange points for exclusive rewards: We know how much you like our getquin merch. That's why we've made it available to everyone via Rewards! Check out the Rewards page to see what options are available and exchange points for exclusive rewards.

Donations for good content: You can now give other users points as a donation for particularly good content. Let's work together to bring even more high-quality content to the platform.

Top up credit: To unlock rewards faster or send Creatorn points to your favorite content creators, you can easily top up your balance via in-app purchases.

This is our first version of getquin Rewards, and we look forward to hearing what you think about it and how we can improve it further.

Thank you for being part of this great community ❤️.

PS: App update required. Currently only available in the mobile app.

I'll be in New York for 2 weeks next year. I have to have the shirt by then so that I can represent the pride of the German fintech scene on Wall St.! :D

@CMustermann well then post something!😂🙃

I've been to New York several times and every time I'm shocked at what I've spent there. It's simply the most expensive city I know.

imagem de perfil
@Pepkolino I'm still trying to hide that :D We are otherwise relatively modest in our spending. But how often do you do that?
imagem de perfil
Optimization suggestions:
- You get a few points for each month of Premium.
- Comments give 3 points.
- Buy digital products with the points (titles, badges ...). These are then correspondingly cheaper.
...

@TeeRiese Thanks for the suggestions, we will definitely expand the feature with more missions and rewards :)

@christian Take the opportunity to make an inquiry:

What about the need that we would like to have benchmarking with a specific time horizon?
21
imagem de perfil
@GeldGenie Still to come.

When then?
imagem de perfil
@Migu11 As soon as our developers have built it. :)
We can't release a specific date yet.

That would be more useful than this points system.

Definitely not a feature we've all been waiting for.

Anyone who has ever sat in an economics lecture knows exactly what will happen now: The timeline will be flooded with irrelevant ChatGPT posts from people who would otherwise just leave it alone because now there's something to win.

If you're not sure whether you can contribute something good, you'll choose quantity over quality when in doubt. I'm already looking forward to posts like "The 10 best stocks that start with P"

And anyway, why can you buy the points? That would make the whole system absurd. So what's next? How about exclusive posts that you have to pay real money to unlock in order to read them? I would definitely subscribe to such a financial-only fan of @topicswithhead.

@Soprano see at $MAIN the latest post, which appeared after this post here...
This is how it will look everywhere now.

In any case, the feature should not be presented as a quality offensive.

For me, getquin is actually a platform for tracking my portfolio and discussing financial topics. In the meantime, the focus is increasingly on the feed: Top creator of the week, buying coins and/or earning extra via some challenge.
For me, this is absolutely the wrong direction, as the actual task - tracking - is being neglected.
What the green competitor is constantly bringing out in terms of news for tracking/insights - getquin is miles away from that.

Well, Facebook for small investors

@Soprano hahaha I think it's funny and cool in itself, but I can already see that the spam rate can get higher. There are things that are good to use with an AI (quarterly figures) and other things that are not. However, this is probably not taken into account when posting. On the other hand, you also have to say that 10 points per post are quite few, so you would have to post for a really long time to buy something with them. So hats off to anyone who wants to do this with Chat GPT, it shows character even then

@Alpalaka Yeah cool, the whole post is written completely in bold for more attention. I'M ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE POSTS FROM NOW ON ONLY IN CAPSLOCK AND WITH EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!!!
2
imagem de perfil
@Alpalaka well, I think Getquin can use the community function and thus clearly stand out from the other trackers. Of course, this is only possible if the tracker at least perfectly maps the basic function. This is less the case here, but you can still use the app as social media. At least for me.

imagem de perfil
@topicswithhead Of course for me it's also social media, you can't even read in dividend pdfs. For tracking, the competitor is definitely the first choice

imagem de perfil
@Soprano @Alpalaka @topicswithhead Stay relaxed - we already know what we're doing. If the feature doesn't have the planned effect, then we'll just adapt it.

The shirt would cost €73, the cap €31 - assuming you buy coins. Phew!
Why don't you go up 2€ with the subscription and release the merch for sale if it's so popular :)

@Alpalaka your today's unpaid & personalized advertising based on possible interest recognition:

@Alpalaka that must be a great quality shirt :D

@Testo-Investor Do you believe that?

@Alpalaka Of course not ... just a normal polo^^

@Alpalaka Thanks for the feedback. Don't forget: 30% app-store fees + shipping. We will continuously optimize and adjust the rewards + prices.

@christian Top thanks.
One more question: If I understand correctly, you now get 10 coins for every post >500 characters.

Won't the number of shitposts/meaningless posts increase significantly? "ChatGPT, tell me something about Bitcoin in at least 500 characters". Zack, I can collect a few coins. Example: see the last ChatGPT post at $MAIN

Or am I just thinking too negatively here because there are currently more and more pointless posts?
3
imagem de perfil
@Alpalaka Let's wait and see. The aim is of course to promote high quality content, and the incentive should be the donations, not the 10 coins for the post. We'll see what the effect is and adjust if necessary. 👍
7
imagem de perfil
@Alpalaka I have to tell you
Yes, it is expensive

But I have no joke no T-shirt that is as high quality as the one from getquin😂

And even the first gen version still has the same shape after 2 years
2
imagem de perfil
@leveragegrinding The First Gen even retains its color to this day.
In other words, white is still white and not grayed out.

Black has also held its color well so far.

Super. If it means that there is only quality content. Unfortunately, I can already see it coming, that now only more posts will appear here via copy&paste, so that coins can be tapped.

... but it could just be pessimism and it will be a good feature.

I would like an emoji system, then I don't always have to copy and paste to external sites.
13
imagem de perfil
@InvestRookie That's exactly how it will be. More copy & paste and those who are a bit cleverer will simply have the text rewritten by chatgpt. In my view, this takes away the seriousness of the platform. Mass instead of class

Cool idea. Personally, however, I would prefer to see progress on the Deep Dive function. I and many others are eagerly awaiting the expansion of various providers such as Wisdomtree or Fidelity 🙂

@christian Try out whether the 100 coins arrive with me. As a test 🤣

Hopefully there will be coins for comments soon, because I want to have a getquin Patagonia 🚀
8

@Staatsmann Did you not get a Patagonia last time again? :D By the way, I sent you a message - hope your number is still correct :D)
imagem de perfil
@Staatsmann so this jacket yes that would be something 🤣

Does that only count for writing posts...? I also find commenting enormously important. .___.

@Metis A nice suggestion for the future, thanks!

It seems that there have been fewer significant innovations on the platform recently that actually improve the user experience. The current update with the getquin points is certainly exciting for some, but I would have rather seen improvements in the existing features, such as advanced chart analysis or the implementation of the deep dive for more ETFs (when Fidelity?).
5
imagem de perfil
Mega cool, that probably motivates me to make news articles that don't just concern the USA 😅✌🏻
4
imagem de perfil
I think it's a really good idea. I would also pay good money for the Patagonia x getquin jacket. But 28,000 is really heavy.
4
imagem de perfil
@Thetrendisyourfriend Of the 28000 coins, we also have to pay 30% appstore fees and shipping.

Otherwise, the prices are not set in stone and can be adjusted in the future if necessary.
3
imagem de perfil
@christian Hello Christian. With your new concept of collecting points for posts you will not give any added value to the users. The points collectors will copy, translate and post every post they find. Every small price change and every distribution will be recognized with a post. It would make sense to distribute points for likes or the number of reactions. The focus should be on quality. Here is the first example 4rentnot2sale2.

I don't like this development. I would rather have something that helps me as an investor. Suggestion, how about a bond analysis? Many people talk about the market being high, but I read that bonds should be part of a diversified portfolio 😇

This is a fantastic idea! I’m not a super active contributor here, so I’ll probably buy some points to support others. To get this rolling faster, maybe add a few points with each active subscription? That way, subscribers can start rewarding content right away without extra costs for the platform.

now the burner spams out even more posts

Does my current annual subscription not count? :/
2
imagem de perfil
No added value (for me) at all.

Unless.... When Lambo with points?
2
imagem de perfil
Instead of focusing on ‘engagement incentives,’ why not double down on accelerating the feature list and charging more for premium? Growing the user base will happen naturally from product iterations and added value
2
I don't think much of it. It will only lead to more spam. I would prefer a function with which I could deactivate the annoying gifs in posts.
2
imagem de perfil
Why should I give away my user points? It's already hard enough to get a reward without giving them away and if I give my points away to others then I'll never get a reward.

It would make much more sense if you could give away a small amount of points per post without them disappearing from your account. It would also be great if you could receive points from the system for reaching certain "milestones", e.g. when a post reaches X users or when it receives Y likes. This would automatically promote good content.

And one last point: many people in the comments have already called for a points bonus for the premium subscription. Perhaps you could also increase the points you receive for a Premium month over time.
