I’m skeptical it’ll see big gains from TikTok’s ad spend shift. That 1% to 10% revenue bump sounds solid, but it’s based on the assumption that advertisers will move to Reddit. Reddit’s more about text, and like you mentioned, it’s not really vibing with the video-heavy ad spend.

If video platforms hit regulatory challenges, it could benefit more established players like $META, $GOOGL, and $SNAP, who’ve got the ability and resources to navigate these issues.

@Yoshika but don’t get me wrong... I’m thinking about buying Reddit because it’s got a solid community-driven vibe and it’s already seeing some serius growth, with a 68% revenue jump and a 47% increase in daily users, hitting over 97 million in 2024 ☺️
@Yoshika Indeed, the hypothesis is not about a sudden advertising shift from TikTok to Reddit, but merely a modest 1%, which seems more than plausible and conservative to me. However, even that 1% could mean millions of dollars in new revenue for Reddit.

@Uncittadinoqualsiasi A 1% shift could definitely give Reddit a boost, but I’m not sold it’ll be a long-term growth driver..
