Nobody needs Paypal. A credit card or bank account will do. This company has never been in my portfolio and never will be.

•@tjwr I sometimes use PayPal several times a week. Of course you could also cover this with a credit card, which of course I also have, but that didn't work for a long time and Paypal was the only good payment option for many online retailers. They are losing this USP more and more. I'm also curious to see what else is coming.

•@MitVerstandzumKapital Paypal makes transfers between friends, family, etc. much easier. I wouldn't want to do without it either

•@Johann_van_der_Smut Free expression of opinion. I'm not "inferring" anyone here except myself. Nobody around me uses it, it's completely superfluous.
••
@MitVerstandzumKapital That's exactly the reason. Everyone has a credit card now. Merchants offer everything.
••
@tjwr ouch 🙄
Nobody is just you, are they?

•@tjwr For the millionth time. Credit card is not a competitor to PayPal, but you pay with PayPal and BACKGROUND your credit card with PayPal so that the payment data cannot be stolen.

My family and I all use Paypal. Yes, of course you also have your credit card on file, but you always pay with PayPal. Or if you send money within the family, nobody makes a complicated bank transfer. Paypal has a very simple but well-functioning buyer protection. This is an absolute guarantee of security when you pay somewhere. Credit cards can't compete with that - solving problems with credit card providers is very complicated and takes a long time.

•what? I wouldn't want to do without Pay pal. How many times have I gotten my money back there because I fell for some scammer. Fast processing, top customer service. If possible, I pay everything via Pay pal. The friends function is also great. But I hardly ever or never use visa 😄
