ENI NEWS.

Italian energy company Eni has unveiled one of the supercomputer most powerful in the world in an effort to boost its oil and gas discovery technology. This is also expected to be an important step in the company's decarbonization and clean energy strategy.

At an estimated cost of more than 100 million euros, the supercomputer, dubbed HPC6, will be able to handle a range of artificial intelligence functions and highly sophisticated calculations, with the help of nearly 14,000 graphics processing units (GPUs).

This move is expected to help Eni to sift through large amounts of data and discover new oil and gas fields, as well as contribute to clean energy and decarbonization calculations.$ENI (-0,74%)
