Hello everyone! I'm in my mid-20s and would like to start investing and would like some feedback on my planned portfolio. In addition to the planned shares, I have the main amount in the FTSE All World $VWCE (-2,39%)

I also plan to add (buy and hold!):

BAE Systems $BA. (-3,18%)

Visa $V (-1,69%)

Ferrari $RACE (+0,81%)

ASML $ASML (-1,05%)

Rolls Royce $RR. (-4,71%)

Costco $COST (-1,04%)

Microsoft $MSFT (-2,35%)

Nvidia $NVDA (-3,43%)

- What do you think?

- Would a value or quality ETF be an alternative?

- Should any of these be left out?

I would appreciate any constructive suggestions/feedback.

Many thanks in advance!

What is the background to this strategy?

@LowTERror Possibly achieve slightly higher returns in the long term than with the All World ETF. I think they are stable companies with good, sustainable business models.

With this strategy, you need above-average stock market knowledge and should have spent some time on the stock market, as it is incredibly difficult to beat the returns of established ETFs

@LowTERror I absolutely agree with you. I'm also thinking of limiting the individual stocks to Microsoft $MSFT and Rolls Royce $RR. and shoveling the rest into the FTSE All World $VWCE. I can satisfy my irrational tendency to want individual stocks ;-)

Yes, I completely understand, I also have a small amount to "gamble" every month 😄

@MarkStoic I would also recommend that you start by investing in 2-3 established individual stocks to give you a good overview as a beginner :)

you also think these are good stocks. what weighting do you have in mind for $VWCE and individual stocks? i would recommend 70/30 or even 80/20 to start with. fill up the etf nicely and then increase individual stocks.

For a buy and hold strategy, I would recommend focusing more on ETFs (1-3 units) and saving more in them than the stocks presented. Maybe 70/30 or 80/20 depending on whether you really want to have a core satellite portfolio or other extras like dividends etc.

Depending on which ETF you prefer, you can invest in the Europazone ETF or EM Etf in addition to an MSCI World.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the S&P 500 & love dividends, so I decided to invest in these ETFs as well. $CSPX $TDIV
But ultimately it depends on what your goal is, what your view is and whether it makes sense to save in a second or third ETF at all.

Full focus on ETFs. You take individual stocks just to outperform the market, what makes you think that it is exactly these stocks and it is not smarter to simply take the usual market return with a WORLD ETF?

To my taste, it's a very good selection in terms of quality, but in terms of quantity, there are too many shares for me. But ultimately you have to find your own way, as we probably all do.
What is your starting price at BAE Systems and Rolls Royce?

NVDA could still fall well, I would buy in tranches if...
