Eurofighter and Netma (NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency) signed a contract today in Rome to acquire up to 24 Eurofighter aircraft for the Air Force. This was announced in a statement. The new Italian Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft will replace aircraft currently in service and belonging to the Tranche 1 version. For Stefano Pontecorvo, president of Leonardo, 'the Eurofighter program has unquestionably ensured a high level of technology over the years. Its success is also proof of the extraordinary synergies between industry and institutions.'
