It is somewhat overshadowed by Allianz, but has a good global positioning. Is a stabilizer for the portfolio. Rewards its investors with rising dividends and share buybacks. I am highly satisfied as a shareholder, only the French withholding tax is a bit annoying - but AXA can't help that

@TheNauruan I can only confirm that!

Is this in addition to the other taxes, i.e. how much do I have to pay?
Did some searching: There is something about ~40% tax, without refund of Franz Quell tax. Does anyone here have any experience?
@Invesdos
I had AXA in my portfolio with comdirect and was surprised that the total tax burden on dividends was almost 40% because of the French withholding tax (26.5%), of which only 15% is credited in Germany.

I then switched to DKB because they offer the advance reduction procedure: You fill out a form, have it confirmed by the tax office and send it to the bank (fee approx. €30, valid for 3 years). This reduces the withholding tax directly to 15 %, so that you only pay the German withholding tax (approx. 25 %).

This is particularly worthwhile for higher amounts - for me, the effort definitely paid off.

This was the article that helped me at the time:

This means that you only have the Franz shares there
