Alphabet now a stock with ETF character?

$GOOGL (+0,01%)

In recent years, Google has built up a considerable brand and company portfolio through acquisitions, investments and the founding of several subsidiaries, which is combined under the parent company and extends far beyond the original search engine business.

-YouTube

-Google Pixel (hardware in the form of cell phones)

-Google Fiber (own fiber optic network)

-Mineral.ai (sensors for monitoring the growth of agricultural crops)

-Google Ventures (venture capitalist in the private equity sector, i.e. again a stake in countless companies)

-Waymo (self-driving cars)

-Wing (operation and development of delivery drones)

-a lot of e-commerce services and software, especially Google Ads

-the various Google services (Gmail, Google Pay, GOOGLE MAPS!!! (Google operates one of the largest and most detailed databases of satellite images and navigation technology), Google Earth, Cloud Services, Google Meet, Gemini (own AI)

-Google owns more than 400 subsidiaries in total

@Michael-official I'm ashamed to admit that I've never heard of the latter.... 😅 Really very interesting though, thanks for the input, we definitely agree on that

@J0HN Difficult is of course a strong company with strong products, but not so diversified, the focus is simply on software and here and there a few hardware products, at least almost exclusively tech and especially in the business sector... I wouldn't call it a stock with ETF character now ✌🏻

@Michael-official $BRK.B could also be included in terms of ETF character.

@Dividenden-Sammler Sure, that's kind of the first thing you think of when you think of ETF character stocks, the first time I actually heard the term in connection with Berkahire
