What are your favorite dividend ETFs?

Hello everyone, I have been using a growth strategy in my portfolio for years. Now I would like to try out an income investment with a little play money to get a feel for how it works and how much wealth I would need to generate a nice additional income.

I like it simple and practical and am therefore a big ETF fan. Which dividend ETFs are popular here in the community?

I would like to find one to start with that has a distribution yield of over 5%, is not too volatile and has a positive annual return of at least 2% p.a..

I currently have my eye on the

Xtrackers Stoxx Global Select Dividend 100 Swap UCITS ETF

WKN: DBX1DG

$XGSD (-1,18%)

What I don't like here, however, is the synthetic replication as I always go for physically replicated ETFs.

What ideas do you have?

The Stoxx 100 only if you are 60 and about to retire

@WarrenamBuffet What does the Stoxx 100 have to do with pensions???????? 🤔

@Cato_Bamboo well, it pays out a lot but has hardly any share price growth. If you are investing for another 20-30 years, you should rather go for share price growth or a combination of both (share price growth/dividend growth).

Thanks for the numerous suggestions! I have something to dig into. I'll compare them all and then report back on which one I've finally decided on!

Hello everyone,

In the end, I opted for the "VanEck Morningstar Developed Markets Dividend Leaders UCITS ETF" (WKN: A2JAHJ) because I liked the ratio of average price growth (13.5% p.a. since inception in 2019) and average distribution yield (4.61% p.a. on average over the last 4 years) the best.

Thanks for the inspiration!
