I wouldn't invest in it either. The company is on my blacklist.

@Da_Fischi I once started a blacklist like that, too, but somehow all the big companies ended up on it. I think ethics are important when it comes to investing, so I asked myself: How many people has Monsanto saved from starvation? The AI says up to a billion—every coin has two sides.

@Matzke Yes, it’s hard to weigh how many people have died because of Monsanto and how many lives have been saved from starvation. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
My aversion stems mainly from the fact that I’ve heard from people I know about the tactics Bayer employs as soon as research at the university starts moving in a direction that could render certain drugs obsolete.

@Da_Fischi That's exactly the direction the AI's result for the "Hunger Survivors" story will come from, too :)

For ethical reasons, I can't invest in this. Besides, there are a thousand other opportunities on the market that nobody here in the forum mentions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway.

@jkb92 Amazing—the AI tells me that Monsanto has apparently saved up to 1 billion people from starvation—but what does the AI really know?

@Matzke My concern wasn't even just about glyphosate, which is causing serious health problems for thousands of people in the Global South. My main concern was this: https://www.medico.de/presse/2026/chemische-kriegswaffen-zerstoerung-in-nahost

This is actually an exciting stock for me… I think we need to—and can—take a fresh look at $BAYN now—though we should set aside the events of the past few years. I think this stock will at least double in value over the next two years.
