Company presentation Ceres Power Holdings PLC

Ceres Power is a UK-based company founded in 2001 and engaged in the manufacture and development of fuel cells.

Ceres is best known for its SteelCell technology, which at the time was the invention of lithium battery and fuel cell pioneer Professor Brian Steele at Imperialist College in London.

The SteelCell generates electricity from various fuels such as natural gas, biogas, ethanol or even hydrogen and can therefore be used flexibly.

According to Ceres Power, it can be manufactured inexpensively by using commercially available materials such as steel, is very efficient and is also very robust. The SteelCell operates in a range of 500-600 °C and consists of a perforated steel sheet with a special ceramic layer.

In recent years, this technology has been further perfected and important partnerships have been established with e.g. Bosch, Weichai or even Doosan to advance the development and research in areas of energy systems in industry, data centers and transportation, thus taking a leading position in fuel cell technology worldwide.

In the first half of 2021, Ceres Power recorded a 96% increase in sales, and the order backlog by then was €48.8M.

Share price: 13.09€

Performance 1 year: +48.93

Performance 3 years: +551,43%

The fuel cell market is highly competitive and more and more companies are getting into the game.

In your opinion, does Ceres Power have the potential to become more prevalent in the future?
