Entry Space

How do you see the current prices of $RKLB (+0%) or $JEDI (-2,59%) ? Would you get in (medium-long term) or wait for the SpaceX IPO?

Some sector capital will migrate to SpaceX. The other players will suffer as a result.
I would rather get out now. 🤷

The question was medium-long term.
Why should he get out now with an investment horizon of 7+ years? If he believes in the sector, now might not be the best time to get in (sector currently overvalued) but with the horizon it might be worth it.

As always, I would recommend partial purchases. Maybe a tranche every month until the end of the year... It is difficult to estimate.

@Marvin22b Remember: the profit is in the purchase.
If you can get Rocketlab in 2 months for 50% of the price, why wouldn't you?

@Epi it could already be playing Space x, via the companies that already have a large stake in it

@Tenbagger2024 has long since been priced in at the current valuation.

@Epi It is also possible that many people will become interested in space shares and possibly look for "cheaper" or alternative investments. This could cause the price to rise or at least remain constant.

I wouldn't have been directly worried that the share price would fall as a result of the IPO.

But I don't know of any similar comparison in history.

@Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin then only the Polish space share from Jakub

@Epi I'm going in straight away. But only a mini savings plan though. If I had a lot, I would sell something. But I don't think the ipo will be that dramatic, only at the beginning it might tweak.
In the JEDI ETF, spaceX should have a maximum weighting of 8%, I suspect less. In most index funds well below 1%, probably even well below 0.5%. They don't float much.

And as far as I can see, "only" 75bn is to be raised.... That's not a small amount, of course, but it doesn't take all the capital away from everyone else.

But maybe I'm completely wrong.... We will see. Not the coolest time to get in. If you think about it, you can just wait a few more weeks

I can't necessarily agree with the others.

SpaceX's IPO will probably attract institutional investors who were not previously invested in the space sector. This will also benefit $RKLB
On the other hand, some capital from the industry will probably rotate to SpaceX -> $RKLB will probably be among the sufferers.
Last but not least, the question arises as to whether $RKLB is perhaps still undervalued and whether the IPO is perhaps already partly priced in.

My crystal ball says that there will be outflows this month, albeit in the low double-digit range. From July onwards, $RKLB will really pick up speed.

I would wait. You'll be able to get them cheaper in a few weeks.

@Multibagger and about $JEDI should I sell and buy later again?

@emppsb I'll just keep my savings plan running. They will still have to take up space x in the future.

@Multibagger Which ETFs do you currently have a savings plan for, if you don't mind me asking?

@Multibagger keep adding via dca or just wait for a correction? Already went down quite a bit

@emppsb I let it run through stubbornly

Personally, I think the current rally is overdone.
Of course, the space sector has made good progress, but in my opinion the valuation is too extreme for an entry now.
The valuation of $IREN or $NBIS, for example, also looks extremely excessive, but these companies will generate billions in sales over the next few years, which do not even reflect the current valuation.
The space sector will take even longer to generate significant sales that would justify these valuations.

Excessively high.

I would continue to invest in $JEDI. It is a very interesting market for the future.
